"One, two, three!" Felix was heaved over on a carriage. He'd caught an infection from his surgery. Also, his memory had come back. He probably just had temporary amnesia after the surgery, but now it was gone. The infection didn't seem too bad, so they were just checking it out before Lix was gonna get released home. Well, to Phil's house. His mum wasn't able to take care of him yet and he didn't wanna bother Lina and her parents with taking care of him. "Mr Lee how much does that hurt? Does it hurt at all?" A pediatrician asked, cleaning the area around his tube. "It does but it's not too bad. By the way, doc... I can't sleep recently, is there anything you have for me?" He asked, looking up at the very old looking man, who rolled his eyes and nodded. He pulled out a box of pills and held it right in front of Felix's face. "Those are very strong and they are quite addictive. Don't take too many of them, it's very easy to overdose. If you notice even the slightest side effects, come back to the hospital and explain what's going on. If you're not sure whether it's a side effect or not, read the package description, alright?" The doctor advised and put the box on the boy's chest. He didn't really listen to anything his pediatrician said. He just wanted to sleep for one whole night and not be in pain when he wakes up. "Your infection isn't bad either. We'll give you an ointment which you should apply three times a day and just have an eye on the area. You can go now." The old man stood up out of his seat and turned around to fill out some paperwork, while Felix struggled to sit up. When he saw how far the wheelchair was away from him, the first thought that came to his mind was to just stand up and walk over to it. He'd been practicing how to walk recently, it shouldn't be that hard. Come on, you've been doing this since you were a little kid, walking is nothing special. He said to himself as he put his bare feet onto cold the ground and pushed himself up. His left leg started shaking immediately, so he hurried and took a step forward, putting most of his weight on his right leg which was a little stronger. He managed to get over to it before the doctor noticed. "Sit down before I see it!!" The old man jokingly advised and grinned, lightly slapping Lix' shoulder as he sat down. "Do you need help putting on your shoes?" The boy shook his head, put the shoes on his lap and went out of the door that the pediatrician had opened for him, immediately running into Lina, who greeted him with a hug and a kiss on the forehead. "And..?" She asked "Can you go home?" He nodded and started smiling. Then, he looked down on his lap. "I got an ointment to put on my belly and pills to sleep better at night. He told me something about not taking too many but I didn't really listen. It's probably not too important." He brushed it off and looked up again. He could see a little disappointment in his girlfriend's eyes, but he didn't care either. "You don't even have your shoes put on! Come here I'll do it for you." Li said as she saw her boyfriend's bare feet stand on the feetplates. Felix didn't want her to do it at first, since it would be embarassing if anyone saw he couldn't put on his own shoes, but he also didn't stop her. He also somehow felt like he was in charge now, since she was putting on his shoes, while he clearly wasn't. "Honey... I know it sounds weird, but I'm actually terrified of leaving the hospital. I know that I always beg to be released, but if anything happens to me now, like when I throw up, there won't be a nurse or doctor who can explain why I just vomited. I know you'll be there, but... I've gotten so used to this surrounding that I'm worried my brain or whatever can't take it, like the sudden change of accommodation..?" Felix explained and put his hand onto his chin. Lina laughed at his expression, giving him another kiss on the cheek. "Why are you so cute today? Anyways I'm sure that once you're home, you won't worry about being overwhelmed anymore. And even if you are, Phil, Sharon and me are there, we can talk to you if you wanna know or need anything, alright? You're so tough, you're a little fighter, everything will be alright." She said, pulling her boyfriend's head on her shoulder and running her fingers through his hair. He loved the feeling, that he could just let himself fall and she would be there to catch him. Well, maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all, since when he let himself fall, he slid out of his chair and knocked the girl over. They started laughing and Lina pressed the boy onto her chest as tight as she could, showing no signs of wanting to let go anytime soon. "You're so light weighed! Also so short, I swear you shrunk. Look I can put you on my upper body without your arms and legs sticking out. Well, almost. I want you to stay small, so I don't need a little baby because I have little Lixie over here. You're much cuter than any baby I can think of. Well somehow you're my little baby, since I take care of you, don't I?" She said, holding the boy's head tight on her chest, smelling and kissing his hair. After some time, she sat up, but kept Felix tucked tight to her chest. He couldn't get out of her grip, even if he wanted to. "My big baby.. I'll always protect you. Nothing's gonna happen to you as long as I'm here!" The last sentence echoed over and over in his head. He remembered the last time the girl had said this sentence. Back when he was at home and when he was ready to take his life. On that day, she had taken Lix back to their school to watch the graduation of their friends. He'd been so mad at her that day, but afterwards, he was so thankful to her. "Phil look! Our son is making out with his girlfriend!" A woman said and laughed.
