"Look Felix! We got some cherries! Wanna eat cherries together?" Phil said and wiggled around a transparent plastic bag with the small red fruit in it. He nodded, wheeling towards his dad and quickly snatching the bag from him, putting it on his lap before wheeling into the kitchen. He put it in the sink and tried to was the cherries, but the counter was too high and he couldn't really reach the tab. So he just wheeled around the other counter, towards the large glass door and large windows, putting his elbow on the windowsill, supporting his chin with his arm. It was very refreshing, seeing a green garden with flowers instead of a road in an industrial district. It even seemed that the sun was shining much brighter than when he was in his hospital room. "It's beautiful isn't it? I worked so hard to make the grass grow green, you probably know how hard it is." Sharon said, putting a chair next to his, her crutches on the ground and sitting down. "It really is. My mum, my real one, and I just have a small garden and it's mostly just concrete. She only has a row of tulips in it and that's it. But Li has a huge backyard. Her house even has a pool lol." He said and laughed, remembering all the stupid things him, Lina and Mark had done in the pool when they were little kids. "Oh have you seen our pool? It's probably smaller than hers but if you want, you can go in it later today with us. Ah I also have something for you.." she said, handing him the crutches that had previously been on the floor. "But aren't they yours?" He asked and she shook her head. "I just brought them in for you. Phil got them custom made to fit your Hight, injury and weight. Look they even have your name on them." She said and ran her fingers over the big neon yellow letters spelling out his name on the black crutches. Did Phil really pay so much money just to make me some custom made ones? I mean any crutches would've worked. He thought, but still put their 'feet' on the ground, slowly but surely pushing himself up. "Be careful" Sharon said "I can't hold you if you fall!" She told him as he finally stood. This time, it didn't hurt but just felt weird. Probably because he'd been practicing every day. "Try to get to the cupboard and back." His new mum said and her 'son' started walking away from her. Carefully, one crutch following one step. It took a while, but once he'd made it, he saw the cherries he hadn't washed yet. "Can I just quickly clean the cherries? I wanna eat some." He asked and Sharon allowed it. He carefully leaned his two helpers against the counter and opened the tab. The moment he did it, someone threw something at him, and he caught it, surprisingly. "Heyyy good catch" Lina said quite loudly and clapped. She walked over to her boyfriend and also clapped into his ear, making him push her away. "Hey that hurts you moron." He jokingly said as he continued to wash the fruits. "Well well well you muffin!" She laughed, slightly pushing him forward, his belly into the counter. Without further thinking, he turned around and started to walk towards the young woman. "You forgot!!!" Phil yelled from the hallway, reminding him that he hadn't grabbed the crutches. But Felix didn't care, since he could balance himself as of now and just continued woddling around the corners of the kitchen, chasing his hopefully soon wife. After some time, he got too tired and again let himself fall into Li's arms. His dad rushed to help the skinny girl, because she also couldn't hold him up on her own. Phil brought him over to the couch and put down his son, before he went and got the cherries. "Thanks...dad." Felix said and 'UwU'ed inside. He could call someone dad! Just the thought made him feel very warm and comfortable. "No problem, enjoy your cherries, son!" The man laughed and went back into the hallway while Lina now sat down next to her boyfriend. "I can't believe it I have a dad!!!" He accidentally said loud and then quickly hid behind Li out of embarrassment. "Aww again, you're being cute Lixie. I love you!" She said, laughed and ate one of the cherries. "Hey those are mine!" He called and wanted to grab one for himself, but she pulled them away. "Shhssh Rude." Felix said and pouted, hitting his girlfriend on the arm. "Okay you can have some, cutie pie." "I don't want cutie pies I want cherries." Lix said after the offer and they both had to laugh. The girl pulled her boyfriend on his side, his head on her lap. She then dangled a cherry over his face, teasing him since he couldn't reach it. "Aww come on! Pwease honey, pwease gimme sum chewwies." He begged in his cute baby voice, reaching up and snatching the red fruit out of her hand. He ate it and then spit out the stone onto a plate that Sharon had gave them. "Do you feel nauseous?" Li said, stroking back his hair and smiling at him. "Nope, not at all. I'm actually hungry." he said, pointing to his mouth, but his girlfriend pointed to the feeding tube. "Noo not the tube..!" He protested. "It feels so weird and my tummy hurts afterwards!" Lina sighed. "And if you eat normally then you're gonna throw up." "Not when I'm hungry and the food is nice..!" He kept saying and Lina eventually gave up, leaving Phil to convince him. "Look, when we're sure you're better- and don't just say that you are- we will let you eat again, but as of right now, let's just go along with what the hospital gave us, alright? This has the same nutrition things such as vitamins and proteins as your normal food." "But I just don't wanna let the food Mum cooked go to waste!" Lix said again. "Well we have a food processor. We can make it into a paste and you can still eat it. Let's just try it for once and see how your body responds." They finally found an agreement with that. Lix finally dozed off, while his dad was filling his stomach with the formular. He was happy to be home.
