„We have good news for you" a doctor said while walking into Felix and Jisung's room. „Okay, so.. Mr Lee? Though we didn't expect it, you survived past the critical point and are not in danger of dying anymore. You'll be able to go home later today, we've already called the phone number your girlfriend gave us. So please be ready until 11am." He couldn't believe it. He had survived! He hadn't died! He had felt better the last two days, but thought it was only his imagination. He was never sad since he had made new friends. He had even helped the others, for example holding Jisung's healthy hand while his stitches were getting removed, sharing his own story about the panic attack he had had. „And for you, Mr Han, your hand looks pretty good, you can move everything, so you can go home today as well." the man went on before leaving the room. „Hey, Peter, don't go beating up people as soon as you get out." Felix teased, both guys blurting out in laughter. „I have metal plates in my hand now, I'm iron man!" „Haha, I think you have less metal in you than me! I'm like, I dunno, 15% metal? Try topping that!" They conquered each other. After some time, they decided to pack up their stuff. While his friend was packing up pillows and stuff, Felix pulled himself into a stand using the bathroom sink, because he wanted to grab one of his shampoos. It felt okay and he sat back down without anything happening. He put the shampoo on his legs, trying to wheel out of the room. Not only did it fall on the ground, but he somehow also got stuck. „Peter? Can you help me out for a second?" he asked making the one day older guy come to him, who just watched for a second, hand on his chin. „Well how did you do that?" he said and started laughing. „I dunno. Can you try pulling me out? With the wheelie of course."„Or I'll just further open the door." Jisung said and did exactly that. „Thanks man. It'll be boring without being in the same room with you." he thanked, picked up the shampoo and wheeled over to the table. „We only got 10 minutes left, we'll better hurry. I've good everything ready, and you?" Felix wanted to know, getting told the same from his friend. They made their way to the Elevator, bumping into Chris. „Oh, so you two are going home?" he asked both boys, who happily nodded. „Someone, I think it was even Skye, said that you two really looks like twins. I hope you two stay in contact. And we too, Felix." the man said, again earning nods from the boys. „Who's gonna pick you up?" Peter wanted to know, readjusting the strings of one of his backs. „I'm not really sure. Probably my mum." „Cool. You don't see her that often, right?" „Yeah.. She's out of town a lot. And when she's home, she's busy as well. There's just no time for her sick son." „Nonsense, I think she's really sorry that she's not around." They started talking, while arriving in the hospital lobby, where they said goodbye to Chris and went outside. „Where do you go to school, Felix?" „St Patricks Marist College, it's in Dundas not too far from here. I live in Seven Hills by the way." „Oh! I go to school there, too! I live in blacktown, that's close by seven Hills. Maybe we can meet up?" „Yeah, of course. Do you have any siblings?" „Kinda, I have an older stepbrother. He's nice, but almost never leaves his room. He's always playing guitar and singing to it. Not that his singing is bad, but it just gets on my nerves some times." they laughed. A black car, that Lix knew all too well, pulled up. „Is that your mum?" Jisung asked while a woman hopped out of it. „No, my mother in-law. Bye Jisung!" „엄마, 한국인다. (Mum, he's Korean." Lina said while she also got out of the car. Felix didn't know what it meant, but Jisung sure did. „찐자? 이름 이 뭐에요? (really? What's your name?)" „네. 안녕하십니까, 한지성입니다. 만나 반갑습니다. (yes. hello, My name is Han Jisung. Nice to meet you.)" „오, 안녕하세요. 박수진입니다. 안녕! (Oh, hello. I'm Park soojin. Bye, Jisung!)" they talked while Jaeseol and Lina helped Felix get into the car. He was in pain, but didn't want it to be true so he just ignored the burning in his left hand. He even tried to move it more, hoping the pain would go away. While sitting, he was just a normal looking boy and no one could even suspect that he was confined to a wheelchair. Soojin sat back down in the car and Jaeseol started driving them home. „So, when's the marriage?" the woman asked her daughter and Felix, both of them laughing at her accent. „엄마, I think it's 'wedding', and we don't know yet." Lina explained, getting red in the face. „I hope pretty soon. Be aware that we want grandchildren." Jaeseol said, making everybody laugh again. „Felix?" his father in-law asked, „are you uncomfortable in cars?" „No, not IN cars. I'm a bit frightened when I cross a street, but it's getting better." He said while getting a bit closer to Lina, hugging her arm. „Dad, he also became a lot more clingy since the accident. Right, honey?" she teased and pecked his cheek. „Noo, I've always been clingy. But I think I really got worse after having the panic attacks." he explained after backing up. „You're not that clingy, darling. Are you happy to be at home again?" Lina wanted to know. „Well, kinda.. Just that I don't know how I'm gonna get up- and downstairs when I'm alone." he complained while hiding his left hand in one of his pockets, because it started shaking uncontrollably. „Well, you don't have to worry about that. 'Cause you'll be moving in with us now!" the girl explained and grabbed her fiancée's exposed had. They both started smiling at each other, Felix answering in his deep voice:„That's great. I won't be a burden." Everyone kept talking normally all the way home. When they arrived, Jaeseol wanted to get the wheelchair. „No no, it's fine. I can walk. Watch me." the young man assured and stood up, awkwardly taking a few steps. It hurt terribly, but he put on a smile and made a thumbs up gesture. Finally arriving inside he observed every detail in the house. New flowers, a couple new curtains, a new carpet, and they had repainted one of the walls. It still smelled like paint, so it had not been long ago. His legs started shaking and he was sure they would collapse really soon, but he didn't want the moment to be ruined. Until someone hugged him from behind. „Woah, babe, you're so tall. Just three days ago I thought you were as tall as a newborn baby. And as fragile as one, too. It's so good to hear a response when calling your name, Felix." Lina muffled into his back. A wave of sadness rushed over the young man. He knew he wasn't the only one suffering from his condition, but being confronted with it like that was different. „There will always be a response, I promise." he said while turning around and then, he kissed the girl. „Do you like the new wall paint? It's supposed to be mint green." „It doesn't look like green, but it's okay." he whispered and started laughing.
