Felix was feeling a lot better, but he still wasn't released from the hospital. His class was on a one-week-trip in Newcastle, so none of his classmates could visit him. Mark, Ryan and Hoshu pulled by here and there, trying to cheer the now young man up. He wasn't used to being called 'Mr Lee' instead of just 'Felix' by the hospital staff, but it made him really proud and he could jump out of joy every time they did use honorifics on him. He couldn't just sit around in his room watching TV, so he grabbed the wheelchair and raced down the hallways as fast as he could. He had fallen down two times already, but it was worth it if he was having fun. When he was in the 'lobby' of one of the infirmaries, he noticed a boy in a yellow wheelchair. It didn't look as comfortable as his own, but still was a wheelchair. He wheeled a bit closer to the stranger, tapping him on the shoulder. „Hi" he said and the guy looked a bit surprised. „I see we both have a similar problem. What did you do to end up in a wheelchair?" Felix asked, making the guy stumble even more. „I've just twisted my ankle.. I'm only in the wheelchair for however long me and my mum have to wait here." the boy explained, making Felix feel embarrassed. Why hadn't he noticed that guy didn't look like someone who's been in a wheelchair for long. „Oops, sorry. My name's Felix by the way. What's yours?" „I'm Christopher, but, call me Chris. Nice to meet you." the boys shook hands. He liked this Chris guy. „And what happened to you? Your wheelchair looks really nice, actually. Seems really comfi." Chris said and started laughing. „Well, I was in a car accident. I'll spare you the details. The wheelie isn't as comfortable as it looks, but that's just my opinion. Do you want to try it out?" Chris nodded and stood up. He was hopping on one leg, trying to not put pressure on his injured foot. „Wait" Felix said and wheeled himself over to a chair „I have to get into a normal chair first" He did so and waited for his new friend, who sat down in his wheelchair. „Well Felix, I don't know what your problem is. That wheelie is indeed comfortable." he explained. Lix let out a sigh, followed by a laughter. „Well, I doubt you'll say that after you have to sit in it for a whole day." His new friend nodded understandingly. „Chris, what are you doing? Whose wheelchair ist this?" an older woman, who he guessed was Chris' mum, asked. „I'm just trying out the wheelchair of my new buddy Felix here." he explained and pointed over to the 18 year-old. He slightly waved, impatiently waiting to return to his wheelchair. Even though he didn't like sitting in it, he got kinda attached to it. The woman laughed and told her son to get up, letting Felix return to his hated wheelchair. He pushed himself up and sat down in it again. „Can we exchange numbers?" Christopher suddenly asked, earning a nod from his new friend. After they were done, Chris added :„I think I'll have to stay a bit longer. Which station are you on?" „Well, It's called infirmary, and the number's 14." „Oppsie, sorry, my bad. Same as me! Can we go there together?" Both boys nodded and started talking on the way to their rooms. Lix really liked Chris and he could imagine becoming good friends with him relatively fast. It was funny for him seeing the other boy struggle with his wheelchair. Wheeling himself around had become as ordinary as walking for him, since it was his main source to get around. But he would've traded it for being able to walk in the blink of an eye. Barely arriving in his room, his phone lit up. He still had the same old Screensaver from two years ago, when he had pushed Lina towards a wall and proceeded to kiss her. For fun, and of course she was totally okay with it. He would give anything to be able to do that right now.

Hi

10:41 am
Hi! Are you Chris?

10:41 am
Yup.

10:42 am
I'm good at guessing 😌

10:42 am
😂
How old are you?

10:43 am
I just turned 18 five days ago

10:46 am
Oh okay. I'm turning 20 soon.
I thought you were older than me
'cause of your voice 😂

10:48 am
Yeah I can understand😂
I've actually had this voice since I was
15, so I'm used to people thinking I'm older

10:50 am
Are you the boy who recently
appeared on TV?
U know, who Jackson Wang
donated money to?
'Cause you kinda look like him.

10:53 am
Yes, that's me. Guess I'm a
TV personality now 😎

10:53 am
Really? Cool!

10:55 am
I'm Korean, actually. Where
did your girlfriend learn
Korean?

10:57 am
She's from Incheon, but moved
to Australia as a child

10:58 am
Same as me. But I'm from Seoul.

10:59 am
I'm receiving treatment now, so
I can't text anymore. I'm in room 24.

A nurse came into the room with the used stuff and attached all the needles. It was the third week of treatment and it really started to hurt less. It wasn't like it was a good experience, not at all, but it started to be bare able. One day before his birthday, he had undergone the first small surgery. He wasn't even put down for it, his hand was just numbed and he could watch them remove old bone splinters. He was just really annoyed by the fact that he was left alone while he wasn't allowed to do anything. He heard something bump into his door and this person cursed. „Aah, shit!" the voice said and opened the door. It was Chris, again hopping on one leg, pushing a new, better looking, wheelchair in front of him. „Hi man." the guy sat down in the wheelchair. „So.. What do you do while you're waiting like this?" the new man wanted to know. Felix took a deep breath, then said :„Well, I usually talk to my girlfriend and hold hands with her. And, if she's not there, I either watch TV or just try to relax." The other man nodded. „You can talk to me. I actually broke my foot and it needs to have surgery." Chris explained. „And you're scared?" „Mph, not really. It's not my first. It's okay. And, I've met another Korean boy who broke both his legs." Felix started laughing. „I feel him, I feel him😂" they continued to laugh about it. Both of them probably didn't expect to make a new friend in the hospital. They talked as long as the treatment went on, and once it was over, Felix was really hungry. „So, I wanna go eat something now. You wanna join?" he asked and chris immediately nodded. On their way to the cafeteria, they met the boy they had talked about earlier. His name was Seungmin, but he wanted to be called Skye, and he was just a week younger than Felix. He had jumped down a 9 feet edge for fun, landed in the most stupid way possible, and broke both his knees. Really nice and spoke good English, almost like Hyunjin and Changbin, but with an LA accent. He also loved to dance, which made Felix really happy to talk about dance moves with him. „I'm actually quite mad at myself for jumping." Skye explained. Felix nodded, knowing what that was like. „I've gone through that, and I'm still going through it. What helps me a lot, is, just think about how it's better that you're in this situation and not someone you really love." he explained, making Skye get mind blown. Chris almost spit into his coffee, seeing the facial expression of the minor. Both of the adults started laughing. „I'll have to sit in that thing for a month, still. How long do you have to sit in it?" „I think two months or something, not really sure. And Fe-.. Oh, sorry.." „Hah,no, it's okay. I don't have to sit in the wheelchair at all, see?" he joked, pulled up a regular chair and sat down in it. Out of fun, he pushed the wheelchair and it rolled 10 feet away. All of them started laughing. „You seem to be the funniest out of all of us, that's for sure." Chris said and finished off his cake. Felix also continued to eat his pudding, cracking jokes here and there. „I'm gonna get you the wheelchair, wait a sec" the oldest out of them asked and did exactly that. Felix was thinking about refusing to go back in the wheelie, but he didn't want to be rude. So after he switched the chairs, he rotaded on the spot. „I.AM.THE.UNIVERSE!" he said relatively loud, earning some strange looks from other people.
