"Well, the decisions are made" Dr. Warner said
"Well" I said impatiently
"Stefan and Anastasia meet your surrogate" Dr. Warner said
I was in a state of shock, did I hear that correctly?
"Did, I hear that correctly?" I asked
"Yes, Isabella is your surrogate" She replied
"Thank you, thank you so much" I said
"You're welcome" Isabella said
"Now, the next step is paperwork" Dr. Warner said
We worked on paperwork and signed everything. The paperwork was long but worth it.
"Okay Stefan now we need your sample" She said handing him a cup
"There is magazines if needed in the bathroom" She said
"It won't be needed, I will be right back" Stefan said
Stefan left the room and went into the bathroom
"Do you mind if I give you a hug?" I asked
"Of course not, I love hugs" She replied
I got up and hugged Isabella
"I'm having a baby" I said
"Yes you are" She replied
"And getting married in May" I said
"Congratulations" she replied
We waited for Stefan to come back and after 15 minutes he came back with the cup filled.
"Okay, so I will go to the lab and get it done but that will take 2-3 days. After that I will call you guys both in and do the procedure and we will wait two weeks to make sure the embryo lives" She said
"So now it's the waiting period" I replied
"Yes, I will call you guys as soon as I have an update" She said
"Okay, thank you Doctor Warner" I replied
"And thank you Isabella for agreeing to be our surrogate" I said
"You're welcome" She replied
We left her office and headed home
"Cherie" he said
"Yeah" I replied
"We are having a kid" he said
"Yes Stefan, we are having a kid" I replied
Unexpectedly he picked me up and spun me around.
"We are having a kid and getting married" he said very excitedly then pulling me into a kiss
"We are, and we are going to have the perfect family" I said
"Thank you" he said
"It was a team effort" I replied
"This has been the best birthday ever, all because of you. I love you" he said
"I love you too" I replied
"We need to start decorating the baby's room" Stefan said
Stefan was more excited than I was
"Woah slow down. We still have to see if the embryo lives or dies off in in her uterus. Let's not jump the gun" I said
"Come on, it's my birthday" he replied
"Fine, but we are moving our furniture to the room upstairs. I want that corner room" I said
