"I need to talk to you guys about something" I said playing with my skin. When I'm nervous I tend to pick my skin which was a bad habit
"What is it?" Lizzie asked
"Well, I want to talk to you about what Stefan does, if that makes sense" I replied
"Doesn't he have a company or something" Zach said
"Yes but more" I replied
They were all confused
"Whatever I say has to be kept a secret, nothing leaves here. No parents can know, literally no one" I said
"What it's not like Stefan is a serial killer" Jenna said jokingly
So how do I tell her he does kill people
"You're joking right?" Jenna asked but more of a serious tone
"Oh my god" she said in disbelief
"Well, I don't kill random people. People who hurt others, steal from me, or go against me" Stefan said taking over
I couldn't do this. Maybe I shouldn't have told them
"So you're in a gang?" Lucas questioned
"Actually the mafia" Stefan replied
"What?" James questioned in disbelief
"I am the leader of the French mafia. I inherited when I was around 19ish 20." Stefan replied
"What the fuck" Lizzie said
"So you kill people?" Jenna asked
"Only if I need to. I don't kill innocent people, I would never hurt innocent people." Stefan replied
"How are you guys so calm?" Jenna asked Julia and Matthew
Then she realized that they already knew
"Never mind, you guys are apart of it, aren't you" Jenna said
"I'm not but he is" Julia said pointing to Matthew
"What does this mean?" Zach asked
"That nothing changes. You guys have been questioning about why I'm so secretive and why some things happen like me getting shot. I couldn't keep it a secret because I didn't want to keep you in the dark, especially since you guys have been in a life for a very long time" I said
"Does Andrew know?" Lucas asked
"Well here's the other thing. My brothers are also in the mafia, specifically the Italian" I said
"What?" James questioned
"All those times I missed school, or random injuries. They were most likely from either Aidan locking me in the house or mafia related" I said
"Did you leave because of that?" Jenna asked
I nodded my head
"And the whole arranged marriage wasn't for his business" Lucas questions
"Nope, it was to bring two families together to be allies and be strong" I said
"Can I talk to stassie real fast" Jenna said grabbing me off the couch and into the kitchen
"Blink twice if you're being held hostage" Jenna whispered
"Jenna, I am not being held hostage. I love Stefan" I said
"I can get you out now" she whispered
"Jenna, Stefan isn't like the others. He didn't kidnap me and force me to marry him" I said
