I woke up the in the middle of the night to the twins crying, I got up to go check up on them to see why they woke up.
I walked to their room and entered to see John cradling Ella
"Sorry, I hope you don't mind" John said
"It's fine" I replied
"I missed a lot of moments like these. Always busy with work" he said
"Well you're making it up now" I replied
" Yeah but I'm disappointed in myself. I should have been there more" he said
"Well we can't go back in the past, you just have to do better now" I replied
"I am, I have been now. Especially with the grandkids" he said
"Good, and thanks for checking on her" I replied
"No, problem. You can go back to bed, I can't because of jet lag" he said
"Are you sure?" I asked
"Yes, go back to bed. I know you want sleep" he replied
"Thank you" I said
"You're welcome, goodnight" he replied
"Goodnight" I said
I headed back to my room and went to bed. I slept for the rest of the night because John took care of the twins. That was very nice of him.
I woke up around 10am naturally because I never sleep in. I'm usually up around 7am because of the twins crying. I go downstairs to see everyone up and eating breakfast
"Good morning" I said
"Morning" they said
"We let you sleep in" Louis said
"Thank you" I replied
"I made pancakes, there's some on the plate" he said
"Thank you" I replied
I grabbed some pancakes and put on my topping and ate
"So do you guys have any plans for today?" I asked
"Nothing much, we will probably figure something out" Rebecca replied
"Well I was going to head to the city to pick up some things, do you guys want to join me?" I asked
"Sure" Rebecca replied
"Amelia?" I asked
"Sure" she replied
"Julia?" I asked
"I have to-
I gave her pleading eyes, I couldn't do this alone
"Sure I am free" she said
"Ok, we can go around noon" I said
"Ok" Amelia said
I finished eating breakfast and went upstairs to feed the twins then pumped extra for the rest of the day.
"Will you be okay with the twins?" I asked
"Cherie, I know how to take care of babies. I am their dad and I have my brother and dad" he said
"Ok, well if you need anything call me" I replied
"Ok" he said
I got into the shower and got ready. Once I was done I grabbed my bag and went downstairs
"Ok, whenever you guys are ready we can head out" I said
"Amelia is almost ready" Rebecca said
