"So how are you?" Dr. Williams asked
"Great, how about you?" I asked
"You told me the answer you wanted me to hear, now tell me the answer I want to hear" she said
"I'm fine, seriously" I said
Stefan's p.o.v of night before
"Dr. Williams" I said on the call
"Yes Stefan" she replied
"I need to make an appointment for stassie" I said
"Does she want the appointment or you want her to go" she asked
"I want her to go because she hasn't slept, she is constantly scared and she's calling herself a bad mother. She needs help and she won't talk to me" I said
"Okay, I fit her in for tomorrow at 11" she said
"Thank you Dr. Williams" I replied
"You're welcome, I'll see you tomorrow" she said
"See you" I said
I hung up the call and checked on the twins. To hear stassie on the monitor talking down on herself. Calling herself a bad mother, she's an amazing mother. She's always on top and making sure the babies are fine. She worries too much sometimes but I know it's because she scared that if they are crying it's because someone might be kidnapping the babies.
It hard to see her in pain, I couldn't help her, she kept pushing me away or when she has her nightmares I can't be there, I can't stop them.
There's nothing I can do but be there for her
Stassie's p.o.v.
"So tell me how you really are" Dr. Williams said
How do I tell her all the shit that has happened.
"Well I'm tired because the twins never sleep" I said
"Anastasia" she said in warning tone
"What, do you want me to say that I haven't slept in a week. I haven't felt like myself in weeks, I can't even protect my own kids. Is that what you want to know" I yelled
She was taken back by my yelling
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell. I'm just frustrated" I said calming down
"No go ahead, if this is your way to talk and get it out, yell as much as you want" she said
"I'm overwhelmed, tired, stressed and scared" I said
"Why?" She asked
"My brothers kidnapped the twins" I said
"Woah" is all she said
"Yeah, let me catch you up" I replied
I caught her up with what happened with my brothers and the twins
"So you're scared that someone will hurt your twins again and you won't be able to protect them" she said
"Yeah, I wasn't able to the first time, I won't be able the next time" I replied
"Who says you won't?" She asked
"I can't use a gun, I'm not the stronger in hand to hand combat" I replied
"But you have never been that situation where you need to. You were with your brothers, and you told me Andrew found out later and he wouldn't let them hurt you" she said
"But if I need to I won't be able to. I've been in these situations before. I can't defend myself, how can I defend the twins" I replied
"Because you're a mother, your instincts will kick in and you will do anything to protect your kids. You revealed your real identity for your kids, you think that isn't a big deal but it's a huge deal. You have kept your identity a secret since you were 18. Your mother instinct kicked in because you chose to tell them who you are to save your babies. You think you're not strong but you're one of the strongest women I know. You have been through so much since you were young. You have had a drug addiction, your parents passed away at the age of 16. You moved in with your estranged brothers and soon relapsed. You lost your ability to play pro basketball. You moved out and changed your identity and the list goes on but that just proves you are strong and haven't quite. I know you think you're weak but never think you are" She said
"But I can't protect anyone" I said breaking down
"Yes you can, you have already. You see those beautiful twins out there. You protected them from all the bad outside. They won't remember what happened with your brothers. So don't worry about thinking your babies will be traumatized" she replied
"I wish they didn't have this life. I wish they would have a better life where paparazzi wouldn't follow them and they didn't have to worry about someone kidnapping them" I said
"Well as apart of marrying Stefan and you being a model this will happen. You can do all you want to protect them but they will still be seen" she replied
"I want them to have a normal life" I said
"You will try but you know they won't" she replied
"I know" I said in disappointment
"Now tell me about this nightmare" she said
This I didn't really want to dive into, it was hard to relive it because it felt real
"It's kind of hard to talk about it" I said
"That's fine, instead let's talk about you coming in contact with Ryan again" she said
"What about it?" I asked
"Well how has it been?" She asked
"It's nice to have him back. I mean he came over to my birthday and it was fun. We aren't close as I am with Andrew but it's nice to have him back. He was one of the nicest when I lived with my brothers" I said
"That's good, and how was it when the others find out?" She asked
I explained how my brothers reacted and she asked more questions and it led to me telling about my nightmare and discussing it
"Okay, so you're going to take these. It is anxiety and sleeping meds" she said
"Both?" I questioned
"Yes, your anxiety is bad and you haven't slept for the past week and these will help" she said
"Okay, how long will I take these?" I asked
"Until I see that you are fine and no longer need the meds" she replied
"Okay" I said
"Okay, well Anastasia today was a good day. We had a big break through. Is next week good for you?" She asked
"Yeah" I replied
I left the room and saw Stefan stressed because Ella wouldn't stop crying and Elijah was becoming fussy.
"Please help" Stefan said
I picked up Ella and she wouldn't calm down
"Let me try" dr Williams said
She picked up Ella and she calms down after a couple minutes
"What the heck" I said
"I'm great with babies" she replied
"Thank you" I said
"No problem, and don't forget to get the medication" she replied
"I won't, thank you again" I replied
"You're welcome, I'll see you next week" she said
"Okay" I replied
We left the building and picked up my medication. We stopped by Matthew's place because Stefan needed to pick something up, then headed back home
"Okay, I'm going to pump for tonight because I don't know how strong these pills are going to be" I replied
"Okay, I won't wake you up" he said
"Only in emergencies" I replied
"Ok" he said
I pumped for the night and some for the morning. Stefan and I for the rest of the day played with the kids and while they were sleeping I helped Stefan catch up with work.
It was now night and I took the medicine.
Let's get some sleep
