"Matthew is awake" the doctor said
"Let me go inside. Right now I understand him because I've gone through the same thing. Let me talk to him" I said
"He's my best friend" he said
"I understand that but right now he sees you as Julia's brother, the girl he cheated on. I'll talk to him" I said
"Ok" he replied
I followed the doctor to his room.
"He had his stomach pumped and should be okay, he's just drowsy right now" the doctor said
"Ok" I replied
I stepped into the room to see Matthew laying down
"Hey Matthew" I said sitting down on the chair next to him
"Hi" he said moving his head to see me
"How you feeling?" I asked
"Like shit" he replied with a small chuckle
"I bet" I said
"Are you going to lecture me?" He asked
"Later, not now though, but I'm going to tell you a little story. I don't know if you remember or not or if someone told you but I will" I said
"Ok" he replied
I told him about the time I almost relapsed, letting him know he's not alone.
"I didn't know that, I'm sorry" he said
"No need for those. I'm fine and I want you to know that you will be okay. I know you feel like you're alone but you are never alone. As one black sheep to another we will always have someone on our side" I said
We have always been the black sheep, never properly fitting in. Obviously sometimes they don't like me and with Matthew they loved him but now it's undecided
"The black sheep" he said
"We have each other. I know it's hard right now but push through. I'm here for you and whenever you need to talk I'll be here" I said
"Thank you stassie, there's more why everything happened. I'll tell you soon, I'm just not ready" he said
"Take your time, I'll be here. And Stefan is waiting outside, do you want to see him?" I asked
"Sure" he replied
"Ok" I said
I went out calling Stefan
"Don't push it, right now just be there for him, listen to him" I said
"Ok" he replied
Stefan went inside, I waited outside
Stefan's p.o.v
"Hey shithead" I said joking with him. We always called each other this
"Hey asshole" he replied
"Don't scare me like that again" I said
"I won't, I'm not planning to" he replied
"Good, how are you feeling?" I asked
"Like shit" he replied
"You're going to feel better, I promise" I said
"Yeah, I will" he replied
I know he was lying, i just didn't want to say anything. Not right now when he's like this
"The twins miss you a lot, they got you Christmas gifts" I said
"I miss them too. I got some gifts for them as well. I hope they love it" he replied
"I bet they will, when you're out of here you have to come over" I said
"Maybe a bit after, I decided I'm going to rehab" he said
Oh shit
"Wow, that's a big step but you're recognizing you need help which is good" I said
"Yeah, I'm going for a month so afterwards we can meet up" he replied
"That will be great. Will you leave after New Years or before?" I asked
"Before, New Years won't be good" he replied
"Ok, I will see you at family visits" I said
"Ok, I'm tired so I'm going to sleep for a bit" he replied
"Ok, good night Matthew" I said
"Good night" he replied
I stepped out of the room seeing stassie sit on one of the chairs
Stassie's p.o.v
"How was it?" I asked
"He's going to rehab, he admitted himself" he replied
"Oh wow, at least he did it himself and not anyone else. It take a lot to admit yourself into one" I said
"Yeah, how is rehab?" Stefan asked
"It's a lot, mentally and physically wise. I remember waking up in the middle of the night feeling bugs crawl all over me. It can be draining sometimes and you can lose yourself because it feels very lonely" I said
"Shit, I can't lose Matthew. I've been a shitty friend lately but I can't lose him. He's my best friend, my fucking brother" he said
"Hey, we aren't going to lose him. We will see him a lot and be there for him. I've been through this and I know how he is feeling" I said
"I can't lose him" Stefan said hugging me
"It's okay, we won't" I said
We waited out here, we weren't going to leave him. We were going to switch turns because of the twins.
"I'll stay with him tonight then you can do tomorrow night" I said
"Ok" he replied
We stayed for a bit then Stefan went home. The nurse brought over a pillow and blanket and slept inside the room on the couch.
"You don't have to stay" Matthew said
"I want to stay, us black sheep have to stay together" I said
"You have a family, twin babies for god sake" he replied
"You are my family too. I'm not leaving you, not now and not ever so suck it up black sheep number 1" I said
"Ok" he said
We both fell asleep but the couch isn't comfortable but I don't care.

We've been staying at the hospital for 3 days. Tomorrow is the day Matthew is discharged.
"So I'll be going to rehab for a month, maybe more" Matthew said
"And Stefan and I will be there for every family visit" I said
"There's more to what happened" he said
"What is it, you don't have to tell me unless you're ready" I said
"I have a sister" he blurted out
"What? When did you find out?" I asked
"The twenty-third" he replied
"How the fuck did this happen?" I asked
"She found me because of the internet but that not even the worst part" he said
"What's the worst part?" I asked
I don't know what I'm going to hear
