Chapter 23-Dinner

I walked into the kitchen. Stefan was talking to someone and I looked over to who it was.

His parents

"What are they doing here" I asked Stefan

"They want to apologize" he replied

I looked at them, creasing my eyebrows, confused on why would they want to

"We are sorry for being rude to you and not accepting your choice on the wedding. I understand it's your wedding and not ours, it just took us by surprise" Rebecca said

"Thank you for the apology" I replied

I wasn't going to forgive her, not yet.

"So who wants breakfast?" Stefan asked trying to relieve the tension

Stefan made breakfast and at one point I pulled him aside

"How long will they be here for?" I asked

"They are staying for two weeks" he replied

"Two weeks?" I questioned

"Yes I know it's not ideal, but it will go by fast and I saw your schedule and you're busy for the next 2 weeks with work so you will barely seem them" he replied

"Fine, but if your mother even tries to piss me off I'm kicking them out" I said

"Fine by me" he replied

We entered the kitchen again and ate breakfast

"So I heard you reconnected with your family?" Rebecca said

"Yes, with my best friends parents. I grew up with them and they are basically my parents" I replied

"I would love to meet them, since we don't know much about your side" she said

"I can see if they are free tonight" I said

"That will be lovely" she replied

I grabbed my phone and texted the group chat we had

Are you guys free for dinner at my place with Stefan's parents. They want to meet you guys-Stassie

I'm in California-James

We would love to-aunt Michelle

Sure- Lucas

Yes I want to see the face of the bitch who's trying to ruin the wedding-aunt Nancy

Ok, come by around 6 and no fighting please-stassie

Ok, but if she starts it I'm not holding back-aunt Nancy

"They can come at 6" I said

"Perfect" she replied

We finished breakfast and I went into our room and took a shower.

Hey I need you at my office at 2pm, we have a meeting with the director of the Louis Vuitton photo shoot-Janelle

I looked at the time and it was 1pm so I had to leave in 15 minutes if I wanted to get there on time.
