I haven't been here in a while. The last time I was it was for Andrew's wedding.
"Stassie" Andrew said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah" I replied
"We're going in" he said
"I'll meet in you there inside. Gotta change the twins diapers" I said lying through my teeth
"Ok" he replied
Rylie and Andrew left the car and headed inside
"We got this" I said to the twins and I with a shaky breath.
I'll be fine
I grabbed my purse and took the Xanax prescription out of my bag and put it in my mouth. I frantically looked around for water and eyed one in the front seat.
I grabbed the bottle and took a sip, swallowing it and the pill.
I let out a shaky breath and got out of the car. I unbuckled the car seat and took on the carrier. I set down Elijah first on the ground in his car seat then I grabbed Ella.
I picked up both of the handle and headed to the front door
You got this stassie, you are a badass woman and no one is gonna change that.
I knocked on the door, waiting for someone to open the door.
The door opened to reveal Aidan.
"Come on in" he said
I stepped into, releasing a breath. I didn't realize I was holding it in.
I followed Aidan to the backyard. Everyone was sitting on the couches
"Hi" I said
"Hey" they collectively said
I sat down on the couch that was empty and out the twins on the couch too
"Aunt Lexi" jacklyn said running up to me and hugging me
"Hey kiddo" I said hugging her back
"Woah are these my cousins?" She asked
"Yeah, meet Elijah and Ella" I said
"They're so tiny" she replied
"You were this tiny before" Jaden said
"No, I'm a big girl" she replied with her hands on her hips.
"Got the sass from you" I said to jaden
"Hey" Jaden whined
"Alexandra, Max" Ace called out
Two kids came running to Ace
"Max and Alexandra, meet your aunt Lexi" Ace said
"But isn't she the girl we met at the house?" Alexandra asked
"Yes but we didn't know she was my sister at the time" he replied
"Oh well hi, I'm Alexandra" she said
"Hi, I'm Lexi" I replied
The little boy was hiding behind his big sister
"And this is the my brother Max" she said pushing Max in front of her
