January
It was a decent beginning of the year. Tyler went back to Greece for the new year and I stayed in the with kids
"Hey are you in your office?" Matthew called
"No, I'm home with the kids today for a bit" I said
"Ok, I'll be over shortly" he said
"Ok" I replied
20 minutes later Matthew and Lucy.
"We have something for you and the kids" he said
"Ok" I replied. I called all the kids down and Matthew and Lucy handed us stuff
"I swear if there is an animal, I will blacklist you from everything" I said warning him
"No, just open it" he said
I opened the gift, pulling out a onesie saying "you're never gonna babysit my kid". I looked at the onesie and started laughing, not because Lucy is pregnant but because I did the same thing to him when i was having Elijah and Ella.
"Oh my god" I said
"Surprise" Lucy and Matthew exclaimed. I was very happy for them, I know how much Matthew wants a kid and now they're gonna have one. I was also proud of Matthew, seeing how much he has grown since I first met him
"Congratulations" I said hugging them both
The kids were very excited as well, hugging uncle Matthew and aunt Lucy. The kids went outside while I talked to Matthew and Lucy.
"You little bitch, the fact that you used this on me" I said showing the onesie
"You did it to me first with Elijah and Ella" he exclaimed
"Whatever" I said
We talked for a bit then they headed out to give the other gifts.
February
Valentine's Day was a surprising day. Although I wanted to spend it with Tyler, he was in Greece and I was in New York with my family and gluing cards to the candy for Madeline's and Anthony's class. Tyler and I sent each other gifts but it wasn't the same without him here.
"Ok we have 30 for your class, 30 for your class" I said putting their piles to the side.
"Yay, thank you mommy" Anthony hugged
"Thank you" Madeline hugged
"You're welcome, now go put them in your backpack" I said
"Ok" they replied running off. I cleaned the table up and headed to my office for some work.
April
I do this every year, locking myself in my office and drowning myself in scotch and work. I used to spend times with the kids on this day but slowly I have slipped away
Tyler's p.o.v
I stepped into stassie's house, wondering where she is and why she isn't answering my phone.
"Hey Tyler" Elijah said
"Hey Elijah, have you seen your mom?" I asked
"You don't know?" He questioned
"Don't know what?" I asked
"Today is my dad's death anniversary, so every year she locks herself in her office and no one goes in. She usually drinks and works" he sighed. I felt bad for the kid, his dad is gone and he has to go through this day by himself, without his own mom
