I had never felt so good after a shower until now.

Water had been so foreign these last few days and now it had finally appeared within my new room. Thank goodness the tallest were able to install a species requirement chamber. I dont think I'd be able to handle it otherwise.

The two had been nicer to me recently. I was contemplating on asking whether they had been hypnotised or something but decided against it. If I brought it up, it'd just be asking them to be jerks again.

Since the room had been arranged, Irkens began to recognise me more and more. They'd send waves my way or quick nods to greet me as we passed eachother. But that wasnt all.

I noticed irkens of all shapes and sizes had been openly conversing with one another, getting along and making new friends. How could a single speech change so much so fast.

Of course, there where still many irkens who werent as open to these changes. In fact, less than a quarter of the cafeteria had even agreed with me. But the fact that there were still multiple irkens acknowledging me was amazing in itself.

Currently, I was sitting on my couch, trying to figure out the remote for my TV.

It was a white remote with black buttons containing numbers as well as a joystick. It had a square panel at the top that was coloured a light grey.

I pushed the joystick down, causing the contents of the page to scroll down, going over a list of alien channels that somewhat reminded me of intergalactic cable from Rick and Morty.

The channel switched to a bizarre looking alien news channel. The background was a bright yellow, whilst the writing below had dark turquoise writing underneath. The letters looked similar to irken but appeared to be subtley mixed with English.

The host was a male, dressed in a formal uniform and gloves. His skin was a dark purple colour that closely resembled an aubergine. He had a long nose and dark grey scalara eyes that were obscured by scaly looking tendrils.

He spoke in English, reading from a sheet of paper as he reminisced about some kind of urgent news.

"Yes I believe we are all in deep trouble" he stated, scarily unphased by his own words.

I wondered what was going on. What was so troublesome? Were we all going to die?

"As far as we're concerned, half of the galaxy has been destroyed!" He spoke, eyes remaining half lidded as if this was a normal occurrence.

My eyes widened in shock.

How in the hell did half of space blow up!? And how could this guy be so calm about it!?

I wonder, most of all, what caused it. Could a being truly be so powerful to destroy half of the known galaxy or was this a natural occurrence?

I could at least take a relieved breath that the half we were in wasnt completely demolished. Despite this, my form remained stiff.

I could only worry about earth and the people I was close to. What if they were all gone!?

There was only one way to be sure.

I stood up from my seat, turning the tv off and putting the remote down. I opened the door of my room and stepped out into the hallway.

I attempted to try and find the cafeteria first, aimlessly wandering through random corridors in hopes of finding it. It was beyond difficult to figure out where I had been and where I hadn't; Everything looked the same!!

I leaned against a wall, fully aware that I was never going to find anything in this place on my own. I'll probably never get used to it. I'm probably on the other side of the ship at this point. I've been walking forever!!
