(Gahhhh sorry this took so long everyone!! I wanted to publish sooner but I had writers block and couldn't escape it!! Managed to finally get this chapter done.

Have some cute fluff, as an apology for taking this long. Hope you enjoy ^^)

"Red, where exactly are we going?" Purple questioned, leaning back in his chair as he takes a large bite out of his donut.

We had been leaning against each other for several minutes now, watching as Red paced around the cockpit to gather supplies and maps in preparation for the journey. Furthermore, he had set a course to who-knows-where and hadn't said much regarding the location at all.

"I think this is becoming a problem. Not only can those...things track us, but we don't even know what Y/n is being used for in this experiment. We need to know more information."

He gave me a look, almost as if trying to encourage me to trust what he's saying.

I sort of trusted him, but not knowing where we were heading gave me a lot of anxiety. He was right, though. The dangers of them being able to track us were far too high and may cause a series of problems. We needed a way to stop the tracker and find out what the control brians wanted with me. If Red has a plan to figure it out, I have no choice other than to trust him.

"Okay..." I muttered, quietly agreeing.

Red immediatley sat down in the pilots chair, taking control of the ship and beginning the route to...wherever he was taking us.

"What do you think they're up to?" I spoke up, glancing toward Purple as he finished the remains of his donut.

He hummed in response, taking his time to contemplate the potential answer. It took a while before he finally responded.

"Changing your biology seems like a hassle so I'm not sure why it would be revolutionary to the armada...but..." he put a finger to his chin, elongating his hum again before continuing "I assume the control brains needed to test the chemical as part of some...Irken enhancement serum...maybe?"

It made sense. Humans have done the same to animals for years, experimenting with rats and such for vaccinations and medical enhancements of sorts. It was never a pretty subject but it seems very like irkens to see humans as pests who lived lesser lives. It stung, actually. But I knew being offended by the idea wouldn't change anything.

Red decided to but into the conversation, still focused on the route as he spoke.

"I think that the experiment is supposed to turn other species into irkens. I mean, you started picking up irken qualities after the experiment right? Like advanced healing and differing organs, for example?"

That also made sense. But something was amiss. It didn't seem right.

Sure, you could always argue that the control brains want to take over the universe by making everyone Irken, but it didn't seem like something they'd do. It would be more like them to just clone more smeets, take over the universe and get rid of everyone else. But keeping me alive seemed counterproductive, not that I was complaining. All this for a single human? It seems unnecessary.

I sighed, rubbing my temples. This was starting to give me a headache.

"You okay?" Spoke Purple, throwing an arm over my shoulder and pulling me into him.

"Yeah, I'm okay. This is just... a lot..."

...

We sat in silence after that, Red sitting at the wheel of the ship, Purple slowly drifting into thought and myself just on the verge of falling asleep.
