Irk

3rd Person POV

Miyuki was feeling distant.

Distant from the armada and from her own worth. She had very little knowledge about Irk and it's origins, and such curiosity made her want to pursue history and science regarding her species.

These plans were put on hold for some time when she became tallest, grieving at the loss of her superior was quickly pushed aside for her ruling and the control brains had made it clear that there was no time for Miyuki to feel that sorrow. She persisted despite the dissapointment, hoping to make her own significant changes.

She made more changes than any other tallest before her.

She had saved lives, brought the armada to a newfound glory, allied irk with many powerful races and managed to commission the legendary massive.

But something was wrong.

Miyuki was proud of her accomplishments and yet found herself scowling and clenching her teeth in anger.

Maybe it was because she could do all of those amazing things, putting irk in the best position it had ever been in, and yet she was aware of how many Irkens were still unhappy.

Her mind was too flooded to enjoy the advantages of being tallest, concerned with how the control brains continued to be malicious and dangerous all the same. She had grown accustomed to their harsh expectations, but remained open about how terrible it was even in public.

Many Irkens respected her for it, without a clue that it would also be her undoing.

She had learned a long time ago that her opinion was nothing to the real leaders of Irk and she was intelligent enough to realise that her empire was not equivalent to whatever their ideal empire was supposed to be. All she knew was that nobody on Irk truly had freedom and that standing against it simply isn't enough.

The control brains had attempted to restrain Miyuki's relentless callouts, struggling to reign in her distressed cries for equality and freedom of speech in the empire. It was something she felt obligated to as the most powerful irken of her planet.

It wasn't a choice. It was simply the only thing she could do.

And she would die believing it.

"Are you okay, my Tallest?" Spoke a small irken from beside her, tilting his head in concern for her wellbeing.

The irken had large silver-blue eyes and wore a purple uniform belonging to the pilot training course. He held his posture as straight as he possibly could, standing on his toes to appear slightly taller, his face turning a light turquoise as he looked up at her.

"Oh, Scant, you made it!" She smiled, her own cheeks tinting blue as she looked at the tiny irken in front of her.

"For you, Always!" He bowed his head, missing the way Miyukis cheeks darkened further.

She turned away to calm her nerves, releasing a dry cough as if to clear her throat.

she wouldn't dare turn back to face him, aware that if she attempted it could cause her squeedlyspooch to collapse and her feelings to pour out where they should never be seen or heard. So she opted to continue her original task,  begining to walk towards a ship with the pilot following close behind.

"As for why I have summoned you, I have personal buisness to take care of. As my personal pilot, I need you to take me to our station on vort." She explained, stepping into the ship they had both grown accustomed to.
