I watched Miyuki with sympathy and shock, listening to her tale even as it came to a close.

Her eyes were becoming glossy with tears as she attempted to hold back so much grief and despair. Her antennae were laid far back, as far as Spunks were when he recalled Miyukis death.

"He felt the same way about you." I stated, hoping it would comfort her.

I knew this wasn't the main piece of information that Miyuki wished for me to retain, but I was all too aware that she needed to know. In Miyukis universe, that knowledge was the most important.

"He changed his name, he's grown taller and gained new command over a ship, though not the massive. And his feelings for you never went away. He told me you were the love of his life." I persisted, watching her distressed expression mold and shift into suprise, her face slowly turned blue and a stray tear managed to spill.

She didn't say anything. She didn't need to.

Her face said it all.

She was so in love with my best friend and it hurt. It hurt to know that neither of them could see eachother, which made it more painful to know they felt the same way.

"I am sorry." Spoke Miyuki, wiping her tears and pinching the space between her eyes to prevent anymore. "I was supposed to highlight the part with Zim but instead just talked about my feelings for..."

"Spunk" I finished, telling her his new name with a sad smile "You don't have any reason to be sorry! You've been stuck holding these feelings in for too long, My tallest! You needed to get it off your chest."

She smiled at this, appreciative of my words and almost nostalgic of the way I spoke.

"I can see why you two are friends. You're kind, like him." She reminisced, glancing down as she contemplated.

"Well, I understand why he fell for you. You're very kind yourself. I've never met an Irken of higher class who's as nice as you."

She responded quickly,

"Being tallest doesn't make me less of an Irken. I am merely that. An irken with a slightly different duty."

I grinned at her response. She truly was something else.

She had no arrogance or selfishness surrounding her. She only saw herself as a fellow irken, wanting to help those around her and stand up to the mechanical bullies that stood above her. She fought them despite the risks and never involved anyone else because she was aware of them.

She may have died for doing the right thing. But her influence and kindness never did.

She's the most recognisable tallest for a reason, after all.

"Anyway, as I was saying. Zim was not in control of himself that day. His eyes were glowing yellow, meaning one of the control brains had taken his mind hostage and intentionally let that energy absorbing creature take my life."

I had so many questions.

"What about his other crimes? Operation impending doom?, horrible painful overload day?, what about Sporks death?" I asked all at once, a little too eager to learn about the extent of the control brains malice.

I wasn't too happy with the answer.

"No, Zim was in control of all of those events, though I don't know what that first event is... Sporks death was a complete accident. The control brains had no reason to kill Spork, as he had only just started and was also dumb enough to believe everything they told him." She explained, tapping her finger against her chin in thought as she spoke.
