(Warnings: Mentions of death, severe injury, implied character death.
Prepare yourselves mentally and emotionally. Its about to get real.)
I found myself trapped, in a way.
It was both literal and physical. Feeling stuck in a mental state of dread and constant paranoia, paired with the fact that I am literally facing down robots sent by Alien dictators who want to use my human body for purposes I did not yet know.
It sounded so unreal. So fictional. Like I was some trapped puppet and the author of this story was laughing at my struggles.
(A/n: I'm not, I'm just good at writing trauma)
If the ache in my back wasn't so painful, I would've assumed it all an elaborate dream.
But I couldn't pretend to be asleep here. It could cost me my life. It could cost the life of my friends. Yes, even Red and Purple, I had decided. They were also my friends.
The only comfort in this situation was that these robotic beasts wanted me alive. What came after that was to be discovered, though I hope that won't be today.
Not If I could help it.
There was only three machines landing on the planets face, as far as I could tell, lined up in perfect harmony and consistency. Each of them were preparing for a fight, holding an authorities stance with their attention focused solely on me.
"Shouldn't we run?" I questioned, feeling the presence of the tal- of my friends behind me.
There was a pause before Purple spoke.
"We can't outrun them. We have to take them out." He stepped forward, gently resting his hand on my shoulder. "If we don't we won't get away and then removing that tracking device won't have mattered."
I nodded.
He was right. We can't face them and we can't keep running. They're fast. They'd take out our ship in seconds if we left now.
I heard a soft click and whirring before I turned to face Red, spotting a few gadgets in his hand alongside the SRC device. No, wait....weapons. Different types of Guns.
One that was particularly large stood out among the other handheld ones.
"Here, you should use this one" stated Red, handing it over to me.
I took it, though there were alarms blurring through my mind. This gun was huge, definitely not for an amature shooter and definitely more powerful than the other three guns Red had pulled out.
"Red and I will keep them busy." Explained Purple, grabbing one of the handheld guns. "You need to set up that gun directly on target and set it to warm up. Once the sequence is complete, it'll give us a huge advantage.
"Take this too, in case you run into any trouble. Residents here can be stupid." Red stated, handing over one of the two remaining guns
The more they spoke, the more questions I had. And the more fumbled my mind became, the less likely I was to recieve answers.
"But how do-" They were gone before I could question anything. "Great..." I sighed out, attempting to pull myself together and setting the large gun on the floor.
I decided to aim it first, Pointing it at the Machine with a huge No.1 on its side. I hoped that they would be connected somehow, and shutting down the first ne could weaken or finish off the others, someway. At least if I got this wrong, it would go wrong in the machines direction and not Red or Purples.
