I froze where I stood.
Red wasn't making any sense.
"Miyuki is dead" I stated, brows furrowed in confusion.
Of everyone in the room, him and Purple should be been the most aware of this fact. And yet Red didn't once falter at my remark.
"That's true. But Tallests gain the opportunity to speak to eachother beyond the grave. It's a privilege all leaders and high ranking successors of the empire get to have."
Purple bites the end of his thumb anxiously, seemingly uncomfortable with this idea, almost as if he has his doubts and wants to protest.
Despite this, I was all too aware that we needed to get far away from this planet due to the control brains knowledge of our location. Not to mention I was particularly eager to find out more about those strange machine gods of Irk.
I kept asking questions in my mind, things I was sure Red wouldn't be able to answer. I needed answers.
And I couldn't be sure if Miyuki had those answers but...
"Alright. Since its the only plan we have, I suppose..."
Red grinned, pulling a reluctant Purple into our little circle of planning, now featuring Courtney.
"Seems you'll need a ship. I'll happily lend you the Avory for your journey!" She smiled, directly looking at me the entire time. "Only for you, though" she whispers, her comment unnoticed by my companions. They still seemed offended, despite this, immediatley recognising Courtneys mocking smirk at them.
"Thanks Courtney, are you sure?" I double checked, attempting to prevent any arguments from breaking out.
The Syncorian only nodded in response.
"Just bring it back in one piece" she winked, walking me out of the building with two annoyed tallests trailing behind.
She led the three of us down a spiral staircase, ignoring the groans of frustration from the two Irkens and nonchalantly crossing over a bridge to what appeared to be a ship hangar.
The building itself was large with ginormous sealed exits sitting and awaiting use from the second floor up. The structure was a dark blue grey colour, gently standing out amongst the brighter colours in the area and warding off anyone who was a simple civilian.
The syncorian lead us into the large architecture without a word and guided us through a series of corridors that displayed several dozens of ships. Each one had a distinct feature or name that made it stand out.
The Ammotank, The Guardian, The Spacecutter. Names that implied a great tale or achievement of each ship. And at the side of corridor number six sat the ship promised to us by Courtney.
The Avory.
A decently sized ship that would certainly fit four people. The vehicle was a silver blue, almost like a duller version of Spunks eyes, and held itself up proudly on three wheels. The ship itself held the appearance of an arrow and largely looked very well suited for agile flight.
"You think you can fly this baby?" Courtney questioned to no one in particular, crossing her arms with a smirk and a flick of her tail.
Red only scoffed at this.
"Can I fly it," he repeated in a mocking tone "of course I can!"
Courtney glared but said nothing in response, clambering up into the ship and prompting us to follow. She pulled herself in and headed towards the cockpit, the three of us lagging behind her rather significantly.
