(Get ready for angst)

"So I think we should prioritize getting s'mores as one of the first snacks. Just cause it has a nice combo." I explained, putting a finger to my lip in thought as Purple and I had walked down the hallway.

After the awkward and long silence that followed our reluctant apologies, Purple started shyly asking questions regarding Earth. It started to melt away the uncomfortable atmosphere between us and we started to grow on eachother.

Dont get me wrong, he was still annoying and whiny. But there was truly a new side of him that I discovered and liked.

He was actually quite the nervous dork, despite how he first came across. And he was honestly quite endearing when he wasnt stuffing his face or throwing someone in the dungeon.

"I suppose a three in one snack does sound pretty good. Let's put it in the top ten for priority snacks!" He exclaimed, pointing at an empty spot on the list I was writing.

I nodded along in agreement, quickly scribbling down the snack in the sixth spot.

It basically became a debate over which snacks would be best for Purple and Red, and what snacks were just a given.

The tallest had hummed in agreement. It seemed the only time he was in full focus was when snacks were involved. But something seemed amiss.

"You okay?" I wondered aloud, lowering my pen and notepad.

"I actually was wondering something about humans..." he muttered, slowly trailing off as if he was afraid to ask about it.

I stopped walking, coming to a standstill and nodding for him to continue.

His antennae lowered a noticable amount and his eyes had drifted off like he was unsure of how to conjure the syllables and phrases.

"Do humans-..." he cut himself off, eyes catching something that made him stop.

Purple crossed his arms, trailing his gaze to the floor and away from whatever made him stop talking. I turned to face the new presence, feeling a sharp glare jabbing at my form threateningly.

I glanced up at the second tallest in confusion when he had arrived, not expecting him to have met with Purple and I at all.

"Human!" He started simply, barely reaching me before talking. "You need to come with me."

I yelped quickly when the irken grabbed my arm roughly and tugged me away before I could understand what was happening. Purple was not far behind in his pursuit, raising a nonexistent brow in just as much confusion as I had felt.

"What's going on?" I spoke, trying to wrestle my arm out of his grip all whilst keeping up with his fast pace.

"I was hoping youd tell me" he muttered in return, bitterly rolling his eyes.

I didnt ask anything else, noticing the anger from him radiate even more frustration. His grip on my arm tightened.

I looked behind me, catching Purples eye quickly. He gave me a very simple and quick shrug, indicating that he was just as confused as myself.

Just what had Red so pissed off?

Besides my existence, I mean.

We had safely made it to the control room. Mostly. My arm was aching from the death grip that red had inflicted on me but, other than that, I was okay.

"You couldnt have just loosened your grip ever so slightly?" I rubbed my arm, wincing at the pressure put on it.

My comment went disregarded, swallowed up by the focus red had on opening the door to the familiar room.
