The two irkens and myself had frozen in confusion upon the introduction of this strange little creature. He appeared to be almost like a fairy, whilst remaining still very alien.

His almost bug-like form was rather tiny, almost the size of a hamster, and the colour of his body was a dark fluorescent blue. He had yellow frog eyes, and his wings resembled those of a bee. Furthermore, he had stubby antennae protruding from his head and no hands coming from his little bug legs.

"Are you a fae?" I asked, without thinking.

He just reminded me so much of pixies and I couldn't understand why. Perhaps I was mistaken but it didn't hurt to ask.

"Ah you humans and your fairy tails" he responded in amusement, though he seemed flattered "I am actually a Ziptu-finx, a subspecies of Finx family known for their abilities to memorise more information than any other species in the known universe!"

Lyle held his head high, proud of his species accomplishments and clearly eager to share his knowledge of the universe.

"So how does this work?" Asked Purple, glancing around the library before following Lyles form with his eyes. "Do we just...ask for a book or?"

Purple trailed off, still seemingly hesitant about this plan.

Lyle jumped excitedly, seemingly ready for that question.

"Oh of course, before we start, would you like to leave your gear in one of our storage units. It must be annoying to drag it around" he insisted, gesturing to some large cabinets down the side of the foyers walls.

They looked very similar to a safe, though more advanced and clearly made to be more like a locker. Red and Purple seemed immediatley aware of how to access them, Purple placing his hand on a small scanner after we place our gear into the storage unit. Though I decided to keep my breathing collar on for ease.

We placed everything else in the cabinet, our gadgets, anything that would be annoying to drag around. Even the species requirement chamber. I debated putting that in there but quickly came to the conclusion that we wouldn't really need it in a library of all places, so it went in with everything else.

"Are you all ready?"

We turned to Lyle, nodding silently and giving him the cue to continue.

"What kind of information can I help you with? I presume it's something to do with irk!" He grinned, holding his hands together tight as if eager to info dump on all of us.

Not that I wasn't interested, but we were kind of in a rush.

"Well, we kind of need something about the control brains? Perhaps something to do with their origins or what their motivations are for the armada?" I questioned hesitantly, glancing toward the two irkens beside me as if to ask if that was the right question.

Red interjected, "it might also help if its about early Irk..."

I nodded, trusting Red to know what to ask more than myself.

Lyle hummed quietly, bringing a hand to his face as he contemplated.

"Yes, I can recall the right books for those questions. Follow me!"

The small Finx flew ahead of us, zipping quickly as a dragonfly and hovering to wait for us to catch up. His movements were restless but he was patient and smiled the whole time, leading us to a section of the library filled with chairs, tables and computers.

"Woah, this library is amazing!" I spoke, watching the ceiling shift between different colours and some sort of motion drift through it.

Lyle perked at this, seemingly flattered.
