Short-ish chapter?

Look at where I was this time. Not in the cell, but standing in the same control room that landed me there. And this time, the tables had turned on me.

I was no longer the person lecturing two idiots. This time, the two idiots were lecturing me. Well actually, it was mostly red lecturing me. Purple was just chewing on his doughnuts. The stances we held looked like the florpus incident in reverse. The two irkens were clearly pissed off and I was rather shocked by the outburst.
Though it wasn't hard to recover as they continued to whine on and on about how I was, and I quote, "being a nuisance".

I was offended, how dare they think that's the best I got!

Hearing Red yell was rather bizarre though. He didn't seem like the kind of alien to get super mad about something like this. At least that's how it seemed when we talked in the dungeon. He appeared well put together up until he started acting psycho and laughed about throwing people out of air locks.

He let out a sigh, pinching the space between his eyes in frustration. I suppose being the most mature of the two gave him a lot to deal with. His colleague was the most annoying alien I had met on this ship and it was clear that he didn't do much, if not any, work. The red leader seemed rather stressed actually. And I would be lying if I said I didn't feel some guilt for adding to it.

"Look, I'm sorry I dont like being locked in a dungeon but we made a deal!" I claimed, about to continue explaining myself when I was cut off by the sound of Purples muffled, doughnut-filled whining.

"How did you even escape!?"

"I picked the lock" I shrugged, unphased by the screeched he let out afterwards. His words where incomprehensible and I wasnt even sure if he was saying real words. Maybe it was just part of alien language? I couldnt stop myself from arguing back at him, severely bothered by the responses he continued to give.

This could last a while.

With every stubborn remark made, Reds face grew more and more frustrated as his entire being seemed to tremble in anger. His teeth clenched and his eyes scrunched into a rage filled expression. When I finally realised, my concern shot through the roof.

I'm not sure what I was concerned about. My safety. Or Red himself. It's not like I knew if this was a usual occurrence and I was certainly not going to risk angering an alien who throws people out of air locks for fun.

So I remained quiet upon seeing it.

Purple didnt take long in noticing my silent gaze and turned to face where my eyes were locked. He was clearly lost for words when he shifted his attention on the scarlett leader. Now, I am almost certain that this was not a common occurrence.

"Listen, you two," started Red, clearly on the brink of losing his shit. Neither Purple or myself dared to speak, or move, or look away. We just waited patiently. "I am trying to sort this situation out but if you both keep going at eachothers throats then I may be forced to take further action."

I could hear a hitch in purples breathing as he seemed to realise where this conversation was going.

I only worried further, biting my lip in an anxious reflex.

"If either of you keep this up, I will change our course, we wont get snacks and the human will be thrown out of the airlock"

"What!?!" We both screamed in shock, eyes wide in fear.

"You'd throw me out of the air lock?"

"You won't get the snacks!?!"

I glared at purple. He was really hitting the last of my nerves. What a douche!

Red ignored us, facing a large monitor and moving in its direction. I couldnt believe I didnt notice that he was hovering. He was just floating inches above the floor.

I suppose it was a leader thing? No other irken had the same ability. But how could they hover? Was it an inherited ability? Was it passed down to the next leader with some alien technique? or maybe a type of technology?

I wouldve asked about it but I really didnt want to get thrown out of the airlock.

Red brought me out of my thoughts once more when he spoke. I stared at his back waiting for him to turn and face me.

"Human, never forget that we allowed you to live."

Something about the way he said that made me shiver. It was like being stuck in a cage. There was no escape if ever they did decide to get rid of me. The escape pods are destroyed and we're in the middle of space.

A slogan occurs to me at that moment. It only made me more pale just thinking about it. "In space, no one can hear you scream".

Honestly, who would know if I was dead? My only alien friend, Spunk wouldnt be able to do anything. And everyone else I knew where currently on Earth. The planet that disappeared.

"Can....can I at least be free from the cell if I dont cause any issues?" I asked timidly, suddenly frightened about speaking out.

Usually I would tease them. But red wasnt on his last nerve then. This time, anything I say could trigger a response where there is no going back.

The two leaders looked at eachother, seeming to mentally converse about their answer.

"Fine. You could just escape again, anyway. But if you cause any problems, you know what'll happen!" He threatened, darkly.

I only nodded vigorously, internally frightened over the sharp glare his eyes had narrowed into.

I had never left a room so quickly in my entire life.
