(I'm back yall!!! And very proud to say that the main story will be on track from now on!!!)
The small being in front of me had given a reluctant wave and smiled. It was such a relief to see a familiar face.
"Hello, y/n. You seemed to get pretty upset back there." He spoke, causing me to turn my head away out of embarrassment.
"Yeah well...I just hate it when someone's being ridiculed for no good reason. I just wanted to help...I guess I didnt do a great job of that." I grumbled out, looking back in the direction from where I just came.
His gaze seemed to soften at my words before he lightly shook his head and took my hand, pulling me along with him.
"It doesnt matter now. Just come over here" he continued down a hall, fingers laced between my own.
I dont think he quite understood how intimate this gesture was for humans. But he did let go when he looked at my face and possibly noticed the flustered colouration that covered it. He seemed indifferent, even after he recognised my discomfort.
"Where are we going?" I finally spoke, looking around the new hallway.
It was similar to the others, but a distinct difference was the amount of doorways and rooms it lead to. It felt like I was in a beehive rather than a corridor. Or perhaps a labyrinth would be a more accurate description. Many exits to many destinations. You could do a treasure hunt in this ship.
Spunk had lead me straight down, not sparing a single glance to any doorways or myself. It really reminded me that he was part of a large military.
"I have been ordered to bring you to the Almighty tallest."
Oh wow he doesnt hesitate to get right to the point does he? It was almost comical to see him acting so serious. It was strange to witness considering that I only really saw the insecure irken I had met when earth was still in deep shit.
"Why?" I asked, only receiving a shrug for an answer. How annoying.
I was growing nervous and who could blame me? Last time I spoke to those idiots, I got a death threat and absolutely no where with them. Also, they're complete jerks.
That's why I felt so small when we arrived at a doorway. It was partially to do with the door being so large but the biggest reason was the rapid thumping in my chest.
This wasnt the control room, which suprised me. Honestly, I thought they practically lived in that room.
I knocked on the door, Spunk silently waiting beside me.
These doors looked far bigger than the ones from other rooms. Like they were meant for something far bigger than the tallest, like an ogre or a troll. They were engraved with Irken symbols and it was very clear that, whatever this room was, it was important.
The door opened, allowing for a small irken to poke his head out and let us enter the room. He didnt speak, and remained silent at the door whilst the distant voices of red and purple could be made out.
So we walked in that direction, able to make out the words as we got closer and the voices became louder. It sounded like they were panicking and arguing with one another.
"....if purple hadn't of let his stupid snack addiction get in the way then-"
"Snacks are not stupid!" Screached a familiar sounding tallest, pointing an accusing finger at red as the two of us entered.
Who were they talking to?
I decided to clear my throat, making mine and Spunks presence known.
