Yurio and Leo caught up to Luna as they ventured deeper into the forest. The air was thick with the scent of pine, and sunlight trickled through the canopy, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor. Leaves crunched softly beneath their feet, adding a quiet rhythm to their silence.

"Echo and the twins seem to be getting along much better, huh?" Yurio said, his voice light but his grip tightening slightly on Luna's hand as they walked.

Leo trailed just behind, kicking a small rock ahead of him every few steps.

Luna nodded, her eyes drifting to the path ahead.

"Yeah... yeah, they do..." Her voice trailed off, absent of the enthusiasm she usually carried.

Silence settled over them. Luna glanced sideways at Yurio, who seemed lost in his thoughts, his face growing red.

"Are you still upset about what Echo said?" she wondered.

Yurio snapped out of his daze, blinking rapidly.

"Hm! Huh? On, no! It's not that... Sorry, it's nothing!" he babbled.

"Aww, come on! Tell me!" Luna encouraged, getting closer to his face.

"... umm... well, I was just thinking... if we were that close..." Yurio muttered with a burning blush.

Luna tilted her head in confusion.

"What are you talking about? We are that close!" she laughed softly, her eyes lighting up.

"We... are...?" Yurio stammered.

"Of course! We've known each other way longer than Echo and the twins. We're best friends, aren't we?" Luna's laughter was light, but the sincerity in her eyes made Yurio's heart skip a beat.

Leo, now walking on the other side of Luna, chimed in with a grin.

"Mm! We're bestier friends than them," he agreed, grabbing Luna's other hand, swinging it with playful energy.

Yurio looked away awkwardly as they walked.

Yurio glanced away, his smile tight. "Right..."

The trees seemed to whisper around them, their branches swaying softly as if in tune with the unspoken feelings lingering in the air.

"So when do you wanna head back?" Yurio asked, trying to break the quiet tension that had settled between them.

Luna sighed, her shoulders slumping.

"Not for a while... I need to clear my head," Luna told him.

Yurio nodded, his expression clouded.

"That's fine. I guess I could use the same. I-I didn't mean to snap like that..." He trailed off, eyes fixed on the ground ahead of them.

Luna glanced up at him, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I've never seen you so angry before..." she mumbled.
