Later...

"Hey, Luna. Are you awake?" Echo mumbled, poking her head into Luna's room.

"Mmm... I don't wanna be..." the sleepy Luna murmured, hanging upside down from her bed so her head was touching the floor.

"Uh. What are you doing??" Echo asked with concern.

"If I'm upside down long enough, sad thoughts will fall out," Luna whimpered.

Echo let out a sympathetic sigh and then walked over to help Luna sit up straight

Echo let out a sympathetic sigh and then walked over to help Luna sit up straight.

"Did they fall out?" Echo asked.

"Noooo, but now they're blurryyyy," Luna replied, head bopping around from dizziness.

"Heyyy, you're blurry tooo!" Luna laughed, turning to Echo.

"Wait... oh, no, you look sad!! Be blurry again!!" Luna panicked.

"Hm. Your head alright?" Echo smiled, giggling a little in amusement.

"Yeah. Is... everything ok?" Luna asked her.

"Erm... well, the twins are back," she informed her, walking over to her.

"Oh. That's good. I'm glad they're ok. I was worried when they didn't come back yesterday," Luna smiled weakly as Echo sat on the bed next to Luna.

"Yeah... but... what's really important is that you're ok... are you?" she asked, turning to her.

"... I... guess so," Luna mumbled with a lowered gaze.

"Hard day yesterday, huh?" Echo mentioned.

"Yeah... but I'm glad I did it," Luna replied.

"At least now... I know the truth," she added, glimpsing over the necklace on her bedside table.

...

"Akira seemed pretty surprised you had that thing, huh?" Echo mentioned.

"Yeah... I guess since there should only be one, it probably made him really confused. Plus, I did kinda just blurt out about time travel without really explaining it. Ah-hah," Luna laughed awkwardly as Echo sat beside her.

"... do you know what that necklace means to him, Luna?" Echo asked.

"... well... I know he needs it to contain his magic," Luna replied.

"Hm," Echo smiled, seeing she didn't understand it's true value.

"It was passed down to him by his father: King Daiki. Made by his wife, in fact. Its original purpose was to absorb magic from opponents and use it against them. It was a symbol of his power and status as king," Echo explained.

"But of course, Akira doesn't use it for its original purpose. It's designed to be unleashed in battle, not hide away magic that can't be controlled," she added with a roll of her eyes.
