"... The reason I left Akimi and Ellie... was to come find you, Lulu," Aki's voice shook with emotion.
"Wait... I don't understand. How come.... how come you didn't say anything?? You're... my brother???!" Luna tried to comprehend.
"I didn't say anything because... you seemed so happy," Aki smiled weakly.
"But the lies are getting too much... I can't let you cry like this, all alone," he added, resting his hand against her cheek.
"Aki... wait, so... how did we end up here?? What happened to mom and- ...." Luna suddenly recalled Aki's words when they first met...
"My dad got burned alive in front of me, so... yeah..."
"Wait... Aki... you said....!! Your dad was..!!" Luna's eyes suddenly lit with tears.
"... oh yeah, I guess I forgot the spoiler alert on that one," Aki awkwardly returned.
"I won't lie; our past is.... pretty horrifying. It's nothing like the life you know... you're memories are hiding a hell of a lot of pain, so you can keep smiling..." Aki admitted.
"That's properly why Akira did it," he added.
Luna's head jolted up in shock at his words.
"Akira... really did this...?" Luna's voice only barely allowed the words to escape her trembling lips.
"It's the one thing I'm certain of. He's the reason you can't remember me... or how cruel your life has truly been," Aki confirmed.
"Aki... why did all of this happen? Why would Akira do all of this?" Luna asked.
Aki looked down in shame.
"Because you're special. And other people don't understand special girls like we do," he answered simply.
"Special?! Wait, wh-what do you mean by that??! Aki...?" Luna panicked, having no reply from Aki.
"I'm sorry. I know this is a lot to take in... but please believe me. I can't let my little Lulu slip away. Please... don't make me cry in front of you," Aki smiled a somewhat broken expression as he hid his face by resting it on Luna's shoulder.
He seemed to be hurting on the inside... was this what he's been dealing with this whole time? Knowing Luna was his sister yet not able to say a word... it must have been painful... yet... he didn't show even a hint of it.
"I do believe you," Luna returned his weak smile and embraced him.
They stayed in the comfort of the embrace for a few seconds...
"Hm! Then from here on out... I promise I'm gonna help get your memories back! We'll get to Akira... and get him to free you from this cage of lies," Aki decided, lifting from the embrace.
"Hah. Look at you being all metaphorical all of a sudden. You really are out of it, aren't you?" Luna laughed.
"Agh, shadup! I can be all mysterious if I wanna! Echo's not the only one with edge!" Aki claimed.
"Haha. Echo's good at being edgy, though. But it doesn't suit you like it does Echo," Luna giggled.
"Because I'm too fabulous?" Aki grinned.
"Exactly!" Luna giggled.
"Hm," Aki smiled to see her tears had dried and a smile had formed...
"So... if you're my brother... should I call you Onii-chan?" Luna asked.
"WHA— Where did you learn that?!!!!" Aki snapped.
"Galaxy said it's what brothers are called..... I think it's Japanese?" Luna mentioned.
