Update: I added more explanation and description of the Underworld to expand its world-building.
"Ok, so how are we getting to the underworld?" Echo asked, standing outside the castle with everyone.
"Oh, there's a spell that can get you there. It shouldn't take long to perform," Yukine told them.
Echo's eyes suddenly widened as her heart began pounding in her chest.
"Uh. A spell...?! Wait, you don't mean to sacrifice spell, do you?!!" Echo barked, stepping forward with concern.
"Uh! We can't do that!!!" Luna panicked with wide eyes.
"Sacrific spell? I'm not sure what you're talking about," Yukine mumbled in confusion.
"Then what kind of spell is it? I thought the only non-risk way to get to the underworld was with a portal. Wait, you're not strong enough to cast one of those, are you???? Maybe I misread your aura," Echo went on.
"It's not a portal. It's a teleportation spell," Yukine explained.
"Where did you learn it? We've been searching for a way to the underworld for weeks now, and haven't come across anything!" Luna added.
"Yeah, I don't know if I trust this guy. We were looking for an escape from the underworld for centuries... how the hell do you know a teleportation spell like that when we've never even heard of it?!" Aki questioned.
"Uh. That's right... you got here form that sacrifice spell... that... that must be how I got here too, right??" Luna asked Aki.
"Uh... y-yeah... that's kinda how we got separated..." Aki mumbled, eyes diverting.
"Wait. Then who-"
"ARE WE DOING THIS SPELL OR NOT?!!" Aki interrupted.
"If you'd stop questioning me," Yukine murmured, feeling a little overwhelmed by all the questioning.
Everyone but Leo, Eclipse, Hiro, and Atomu gathered around Yukine.
Leo sat by himself, watching from the porch, whereas Atomu kept jumping over everyone to see what was happening. Hiro, however, just stared blankly at the wall, leaving Eclipse to question his sanity.
"Make sure you're all linked..." Yukine mentioned with one arm out.
The group huddled together, their hands touching. Echo felt the warmth of Luna's hand in hers, and Aki's hand on her shoulder. She could hear the sound of their breathing, mixed with the distant sound of crickets and the rustling of leaves in the wind.
Yukine concentrated hard, straining to release magic, then spoke the word...
"Teleport,"
A burst of light erupted from the ground, blinding the group momentarily. Echo could feel the ground shifting beneath her feet, and her stomach twisted in knots. The sound of the seal lighting up was deafening, a low rumble that echoed in her ears.
Suddenly, everything went dark. Luna felt like she was falling, her body weightless and dizzy. She couldn't see anything, but she could hear her own heartbeat pounding in her ears.
Then, as quickly as it had started, it was over. The darkness faded, and Luna could see again...
