"I'm really sorry, Galaxy. I really didn't know," Kata whimpered, practically cowering.

"Hey, relax. I told you, it's fine. Honestly, I was more worried about you getting hurt than anything else. You need to be careful. There are some cruel and manipulative people out there who will try and hurt you..." Galaxy pulled Kata into her chest and stroked her head.

"Why don't you just come join us, huh? Give revenge a rest and help us make the underworld a better place," she added.

"I'm trying to make the underworld a better place. That's never gonna happen if I stay here. Anyway, I can't just join a family like that. I wouldn't fit in at all... Besides, It'd feel too much like I was running away..." Kata explained.

"... never satisfied, ay, Kata?" Galaxy smiled with worried eyes.

"... Have I ever been?" Kata mumbled, gaze drifting to the ground.

"Hm. Even after all you've been through, you're still so strong... Don't ever change, ok?" Galaxy smiled.

"Never!" Kata wore the same strong smile as before.

"Anyway, before you run off again, the third reason I wanted to see you... I need to ask for a favour," Galaxy mentioned.

"Oh? What is it??" Kata wondered.

"This ignorant mortal I live with went and absorbed demon magic like a fool. He may refuse to believe it, but unless the magic is removed, he could very well die a fool," Galaxy explained.

"Wait. Is this the ice mortal?" Kata asked curiously.

"That's the one," Galaxy confirmed.

"Ahhh! I remember him. Bark still too big for his bite?" Kata smirked.

"He has good reason for it... have you got a potion that could extract all the demon magic? Or something that could overcome it without killing the kid?" Galaxy wondered.

"You... wanna save him? He's just a human, right?" Kata gasped.

"Ya think I wanna put up with the endless sobbing from Luna if he goes and dies? It would break the poor girl," Galaxy claimed.

"Besides... her fuelled motivation and belief... it holds the rest of us damaged lot together. I can't have her fall apart; we'll all crumble!" she added.

"Right... she does give off cringe-worthy positivity when she fights- ... uh... well, when she's protecting someone..." Kata muttered, rummaging through her bag.

"Here... this should force any magic out the body. It'll wear off once it's out the system, so he should be able to use magic again in a day or so. One should do the trick, but let me know if you need more," Kata said, handing her a potion.

"A potion that forces magic out the body...? How interesting... something like this could cause- ... well... if the vampires got their hands on it, there'd be trouble, huh?" Galaxy commented, accepting the bottle of liquid with a sceptical tone.

"Yeah... course, it's not as effective on demons since we constantly produce magic," Kata mentioned.

"... you're still not gonna tell me where you're getting all these potions, Kata?" Galaxy asked.

"... I-I told you, I make them myself!" Kata claimed.

"I... still haven't found a cure yet... something that will undo what those vampires did..." she grumbled.
