As the group landed on a high branch near Yukine, their presence immediately drew his attention.
"Guys! What are you doing?!" he questioned, seeing them land by him.
"Following you!" Echo told him, holding Luna's arm to help balance her.
Yukine's expression shifted to one of frustration.
"Don't release your demon form, idiots! They'll sense the magic!" he warned them, urgency lacing his words.
"Well, how do you expect us to jump tree to tree to follow them if we're not in these forms?!" Echo asked.
"Didn't you grow up in a forest? Work it out!" Yukine hissed.
He sighed, leaping effortlessly to the next tree and swiftly climbing upward until he could reach the next. Luna followed, returning to her human form, being used to climbing trees when she and Echo lived on the isolated islands.
"Ughh. Fine!" Echo grunted, reluctantly accepting the necessity, and mimicked their movements, propelling herself from one branch to another.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Yachel called as he fell off the tree, bashing into the next one.
"I'm ok!" he whispered, attempting to recover without drawing any more attention.
"Smooth," Echo sarcastically commented with narrow eyes.
Yachel pulled himself up from a branch and followed everyone else as they jumped closer to Haru and Kyou, their presence undetected by the two.
"Tell me about it. She's an unstable mess at this point," Kyou muttered.
"I wouldn't say unstable. She hasn't reached that point yet... she's simply emotional. It's only because those emotions aren't befitting her design that she comes across as unstable. But she still has reasoning behind her motives. If she were just running around blindly, trying to kill people, then yes, I'd agree," Haru mentioned, walking beside his brother at a relaxed pace.
"Well, either way, we need to find her. Before she causes any more damage," Kyou muttered.
"Are... they talking about...?" Luna mumbled, listening intently.
"Keep listening," Yukine advised, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Ouch!" Yachel called, landing awkwardly in the tree the others had stopped in.
"Shh!" they hissed, turning to him with panic.
The conversation between Haru and Kyou unfolded, their voices carrying through the dense forest.
"I can't believe Akira even tried to reason with her. Now he's gone and pissed her off," Kyou sighed moodily.
"It's nothing we can't handle..." Haru returned without much energy to his tone.
"Hm," Kyou smirked.
"You got that right," he agreed.
They kept walking into the forest until their voices could no longer be heard.
"Are they... looking for Eclipse...?" Luna mumbled, a mixture of worry and confusion washed over her face.
"Sounds that way," Yukine agreed, maintaining his focus, nodding in confirmation.
"But... wh-why?? I thought she went back to the underworld??" Luna nervously let out, anxiety heightened.
"*sigh* this is why I told them not to say anything," Echo grumbled to herself.
