A few moments later...

Akria and Echo stood in the Grand Libary arguing.

"It wasn't my choice! You think this is what I wanted, Echo?" Akira's voice rumbled through the library, thick with desperation and frustration.

"Sure, it wasn't what you wanted, but it sure as hell wasn't your only choice! There are a thousand other things you could have done besides this!" Echo's voice countered.

"For the last time, I-" Akira's words were abruptly cut off by the creak of the door opening.

They both turned to see Luna hiding behind the door, taken back by the sight of Akira after all these years.

"Uh...! Luna?" Akira gasped, voice catching in her throat.

Luna took a moment to compose herself, her trembling hand gripping the doorframe for support. Her heart pounded as she finally faced Akira after two long years of deceit and betrayal.

She stepped into the room, her hand trembling as she closed the heavy door behind her. But she couldn't get her feet to walk any further into the room.

"Long time no see... Akira," her voice quivered, the weight of her emotions breaking through.

"You're... really here?" Akira's voice, too, was overtaken with emotion.

"See? Told you I wasn't lying," Echo muttered, folding her arms and casting a meaningful glance at Luna.

Akira mustered a weak smile, his lips quivering with relief and sorrow. He knew the weight of the revelation that awaited Luna.

"So... you've finally found out who I really am...?" he asked, voice drained of emotion.

Luna nodded, her body tense as she stood near the door, grappling with a whirlwind of emotions.

"You've been lying to me all this time... Why? Why did you take my memories and pretend to be a stranger?!"  Luna's voice trembled with anger as she forced her legs to take a step, her eyes fixed on Akira's face.

"Better speak up, oh mighty king. It's time..." Echo interjected, her voice laced with impatience as she stood by Luna's side.

Akira hesitated, searching for the right words to bridge the chasm between them. His gaze shifted between Luna and Echo, the weight of his past decisions heavy on his shoulders.

Finally, with a sigh, he revealed...

"... because... you're not someone I was allowed to protect," Akira's voice cracked, his words filled with sorrow and regret as he maintained the distance between them.

"What do you mean?" Luna asked with confusion, her eyes brimming with unshed tears.

"You're... a half-blood," Akira told her.

"Uh... a... half-blood? Wha- what do you mean?? I'm not a demon??" Luna repeated, struggling to comprehend the revelation.

Like what they were calling Yukine...

"Someone with half their blood of one thing but the other half as another. Your soul is of a demon; however, half of your blood... is of a vampire," Akira disclosed, his voice heavy with bittersweet longing.

"Uh...! Wait...! But vampires... aren't they... the enemy?!" Luna stuttered, her body instinctively stepping back as if trying to distance herself from the revelation.

"... that's why I had to bring you to the human world... it was too dangerous for you to stay here," Akira replied gently, stepping towards her, his eyes pleading for understanding.
