Shadow Moon flew up into the foggy sky, wings smashing against the wind. For a moment, everything was white as they entered the layer of fog. But soon enough, they blast through the white sheet to find the abnormal sight of the floating island...

Suspended above the white void, the island loomed, its jagged edges glowing faintly in the eerie twilight. Dense, dark forests sprawled across the uneven terrain like veins, shrouded in mystery. Ancient ruins peeked through the treetops, their shapes distorted by the play of shadows and mist. At its peak, a colossal castle pierced the heavens—a gothic fortress of blackened stone and soaring spires.

"Whoa..." Yurio's voice quivered with awe, his wide eyes fixed on the towering island.

"That's... the castle?" Luna stuttered as the ginormous castle towered over them.

"This is so cool!!" Atomu cheered, clearly more excited than scared.

"Quit squirming, or I'll drop you!" Echo snapped, her grip tightening as she carried the bouncing boy through the air.

"We can land in that clearing over there. Then it's a short walk through the forest to a low-guarded entrance on the East of the castle," Aki pointed to a break in the forest below, a clearing surrounded by twisted rock formations.

"We'll follow your lead," Echo agreed as Aki dived down.

As they descended, the chilling air became thick with the scent of damp earth and moss. The rustling of unseen creatures echoed faintly from the forest below. One by one, they landed in the clearing.

"This is amazing!! We're on a floating island!!" Atomu jumped up and down in excitement.

"Fanboy later, we need to keep a low profile," Aki grumbled, scanning their surroundings.

"Come through here, this trail is hidden with the trees. We'll follow it to the top of the mountain," He led them toward a narrow path, overgrown with roots and shadowed by ancient, gnarled trees. Their branches twisted skyward like clawed hands.

"I don't think I've ever seen you this serious, Aki," Yurio murmured as Aki held back a low-hanging branch.

"Yeah, well, this place is dangerous. I ain't about to get caught and killed by my own damn kind," Aki grumbled.

"And how do you know this place so well?" Echo's gaze narrowed as she followed.

Aki's shoulders stiffened, but he didn't answer.

"... Just keep following me," he pushed further into the woods, the air between them heavy with unspoken tension.

Luna looked at him with saddened eyes. Why wouldn't he explain how he knew this place? When would he have even come here? They spent their whole lives in the underworld... so why...?
