"Akira!" Luna called, bursting into the room.
A tense wave of magic was flowing through the dense air.
"Uh... Yukine? Wait, what's going on?!!!" Luna panicked.
"Luna! *sigh* you're ok..." Yukine mumbled.
"What are you doing here, Yukine?" Luna asked.
"Echo demanded I came here to find you. She went off looking for you," Yukine told her.
"Wait. What?! When you're still recovering?! That's so mean!" Luna returned.
"She was simply worried about you. You could have just asked me to take you here, you know? I wouldn't have mind," Yukine mentioned.
"No, that wouldn't be fair on you," Luna argued.
"Luna, how did you even get here?" Akira asked.
"That doesn't matter! Akira, I came here to warn you!" Luna shifted her gaze firmly to Akira.
"And if you refuse to listen, you'll regret it!" Luna threatened in her best attempt to pretend she could actually threaten her king.
Akira sighed.
"I suppose, knowing how stubborn you are, I may as well listen before someone finds out you're here," he muttered.
"What's there to warn me of?" he proceeded.
"Yesterday, we were set up into a trap. A chemical was used on us that forced magic out of our bodies!! The more we tried to use it, the less our bodies could take it! Akira, we need to do something! That chemical could affect the entire kingdom! We could all be in danger!" Luna went on.
"A developed version of the A.M chemical..." Akira mumbled.
"A... M?" Luna mumbled in confusion.
"Anti Magic... it's a chemical the vampires developed some years ago. I don't understand; how could they be developing it after I--" Akira was interrupted.
"They're our enemies so long as you don't change it! Isn't developing a defence against us a predictable move on their part?" Yukine pointed out.
"Ughh, this is just perfect! If they really have a chemical like that, it could be a serious threat...!" Akira panicked.
"Exactly! That's why I came here to warn you! So, what are we gonna do??" Luna asked with a sense of urgency.
"We? Luna, you have no part in this. Just leave it to me. I'd rather you stayed safe," Akira returned.
"What? But this is my kingdom, too! I wanna protect it!" Luna argued.
"And I want to protect you!" Akira returned.
"Isn't that exactly what got you into this mess? Your kingdom's in danger! We need to protect it!" Luna urged.
"No, I need to protect it. You shouldn't get involved any further. Besides, if the vampires really have an A.M chemical, this kingdom doesn't stand a chance of surviving. I won't let you fall with it," Akira told her.
