Chapter 27

Susie's pov

He took me to a nice restaurant, our table was in the middle of the room and it has a candle lit on it and a bunch of red Rose's were on it, the room has dim lights so we can only see each other through candle lights. I picked the Rose's and smelled them. They are refreshing. Newt was just watching me all the time, watching me enjoy this little arrangement.

"Did you pick these flowers?" I asked putting the flowers back on table.

"Yes" he said with a proud smile. "So do you like it here ?" He asked,

"Well it's a little fancy for our 1st date, don't you think?" I asked. He shrugged his shoulders.

"I want only fancy things for my princess" he said. I just laughed at that a little, then our waiter came and took our order.

While we were waiting for our dinner, Newt kept watching me, like he won't get a chance to see me again. His right hand elbow on the table and his chin cupped in his hand, he watched me, I couldn't help but blush.

"You are really pretty" he said in a very slow voice.

I tugged a strand of my hair behind my ear, I couldn't help but blush more.

"And your ears turned red" he said "Are you blushing?" He asked With a smirk.

I raised my eyebrows, I felt like I was caught cheating in an exam.

"No...I'm just a bit cold" I bluffed.

"Aha, come here" he moved forward and put his both hands on my cheeks.

"Is it warm now?!" He asked.

I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah..." I replied.

Our dinner came and we enjoyed the food very much, it was delicious.

By the time we were finishing, a person came with a huge smile in his face.

"Newt?!" He called, Newt looked up to see who that was, and a huge smile came across his lips, he stood up and they hugged each other with joy.

"Matt, how are you man?" Newt asked the other guy, Matt must be his name.

"Never better, but where were you man? it's been ages since I've seen you"

"Yeah, I was in red woods, I moved" he said.

When Matt was about to ask him more questions, Newt looked at me.

"Hey ah meet Susie" he said to Matt, I stood up to shook hands,

"Matt" he said as he gave his hand.

"Susie" I said with a friendly smile.

"So are you ah___" he was asking when Newt answered him before he could finish his question.

"Yeah..my girlfriend" he said with a proud smile like the world belonged to him.

"Woah__ congrats man" he said raising his eyebrows in surprise. Like its hard to believe Newt is actually dating someone.

"Well then, I don't wanna hold up your date, I saw him and thought I could say Hi" he said to me.

"Its aright" I said with a smile.

"Well there's always news" he said looking at Newt "I'm getting married" he announced.

Newt was surprised to hear it, his smile showed how much happy he was to hear that.

"Are you serious?!! Nancy?!" He asked.

"Yes of course its Nancy, I'd refuse to marry any other person" He said.
