Chapter 15

Newt's POV

When I was home, mom and dad along with Jenna were unpacking. They finally moved in. I went in and laid my bag on the couch and sat down closing my eyes to relax for a bit.

"How was school today?" Mom asked while giving me a cup of water. I opened my eyes and cleared my voice.

"It was fine.." I said taking the water. I didn't realize I was thirsty until I drank the water faster than usual.

"Let me get you some more" my Mom said and brought me some more water.

Then she sat next to me and of course everyone gathered around like always, Jenna and dad too.

I waited for one of them to talk about Susie again as always. This is getting frustrating, they are constantly reminding me that I'm here for her to help me and that I'm going to be responsible for her misery in the future.

"So when are you going to give her the book?" Dad asked.

"Tomorrow " I said.

"Okay and is she friendly with you ?" He asked. Friends?! For God sake I can't figure out what we are.

"Yeah..she is very friendly" I said.

"Its good for us if she learns about herself as soon as possible, we have only 2 months left until the full moon" dad says.

"And  you said that you saw her mom" he asked.

"Yeah...I think she came to check on Susie " I said.

"Why in the hell has she been hiding? I think if we made Susie help us, her mom would definitely going to show herself, I don't think she would leave her daughter in this kind of situation." dad said.

Susie...I hate the fact that I'm going to use her for my pack and everyone wants to drag her into this mess. I hate that I can't do anything about it because  Protecting my pack is more important for me than anything else. I can't let down my pack and my family.

They talked about how the pack was doing back in San Carlos, I listened to them half minded.

"I'm gonna take a shower" I said and went to my room.

I closed the door and fell on my bed, thinking of how to make her believe this witch stuff and Steve, he looked brave enough to talk to me today at school. I'm sure he definitely saw me and there's no way that he wouldn't tell Susie about it.

I was waiting for her in the English Class and she skipped English today also, what is she doing and I didn't see Steve either. Are they two back together?  No, after what he said about her during that fight, no girl would want to get back together with a guy like that and Susie, no way, she wouldn't.

After the English class, I've searched for her and she's no where to be found. That's when I saw Jo.

"Hey Jo" I called her "Where's Susie? she wasn't in English today"

"She said she'd be in the library" she said.

"I see, Thanks Jo"

"Anytime" She said with a weird smile, i don't know what that's for. I just smiled back and went to the library.

There she was, sitting across a window and reading, she looked like she was completely involved in the book, I went over there and put my bag on the table and sat infront of her.

"Since when are you coming to the library?" I asked playfully.

She looked surprised to see me and she closed her book quickly. I looked at the book and back at her.
