Susie's POV

When I got home, I didn't except to see him here.

"Steve!?" He was sitting on the couch next to my dad. What is he doing here.?

"Hey honey.." my dad said.

"Hii dad" I said, putting my bag aside.

"Well you two talk, I have something to do at the grocery store" my dad said and left. I sat down on the other couch infront of him.

"What happened ? Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah I'm fine now, I came to tell you something." He said, he still looked pretty freaked like he was on that night.

"What is it?" I asked.

"That night, I saw something" he was talking really slow.

"You saw what?"

"Its Newt, he's dangerous Susie, that day his face changed into something else" he said. His voice was shaking a bit.

"Changed...what? I don't understand"

"Newt, his eyes glowed and his face turned into a beast, didn't you see ?" He asked.

"No I was there Steve, he looked normal." I said.

"I know what I saw, his eyes glowed and his face turned into something like a beast, he got this dangerous look, I thought he'd kill me" he was still shaking while saying that.

"I know you are close with him but I'm telling you this cause I care about you, and I don't know if I can do anything about it, so I'm telling you, please be careful around him, he's not a normal person " he said. I don't know what to think actually.

"What are you saying Steve? I know Newt seems kind of mysterious and all but he's not a... monster." I laughed weakly. "And what you saw that night, I don't know what to think about it but I'm sure he's not anything like that" I said.

"I know you don't believe me, but our town got history Susie, myths and legends of beasts and witches...you know what they say about the woods right" he said.

"They are all just stories.." Steve cut me off before I say anything else

"Look Susie..I know it's hard to believe, I told you all this cause I want you to be careful and believing it or not is up to you. Just know this and do not go near him please" he said and was about to leave.

"Wait..I was at your house earlier and your mom said you forgot what happened that night...then how can you..."

"Yeah..that..I didn't want to scare my parents, so I lied" he said.

"Oh.."

"Yeah..see you at school " he said.

"Yeah..and thank you for coming and for your concern "

He just nodded with a slight smile and left. And then I kept thinking about everything he has told me now.

Is that even possible?. Newt might have many secrets but this...No. I can't believe this without seeing it myself.

I made dinner and arranged the food when dad came from the grocery store.

"This looks pretty good" he said taking a bite of meat.

I just nodded, I was still thinking about what Steve had told me about. Beasts? And witches?. Yes Red wood got so many tales about them but that's just it, they are just stories.

"Susie.." dad cut me off of my thoughts suddenly.

"Yeah...do you need anything else dad?" I said quickly.
