Very Bad Mages

Sally continues her dialogue about the anti shifters. "I also found out that the blood mages are hoping to find some other 'material' for their sacrifices," she give me a look. I nod my head understanding the statement to be careful, I guess my incineration of their leader probably put me on someone's radar.

The anti shifters want to use the loose magic users and the blood mages to give their group more power in the greater population. Especially if they can find a way to use them to create the problems that make average people afraid of supers." That made sense if they could create the problems they warned about then humans would be slowly turned against supers. An easy way would be to create more cursed shifters, especially if Marchosias was right about how much a cursed's parent pays attention to them.

I rub my fore head, this was getting much more complicated. We needed more help with this situation, I turn to Seamus and say. "Hey ask dad if he can get the other Demons to not 'donate' essence for a period of time." Seamus nods his head then pauses, you know? Who told you? I smile, "Doug informed me while you were working with Mr Lee. Marchosias kept you from hearing our conversation, I still don't understand how it affects me though."

Simon blinks as does Maahes and Simon recovers first, "well Nancy the bigger issues about you not 'connecting' to Seamus is who your mother was. I was never happy that Scartooth's only child was a cougar. Maybe the goddess did so to ensure that your mother would never feel alone. We think however that is altered how your mental connections work, it's not that you can't have a Mate. However we don't know that you will be as connected to one at even the level that Doug and Brenda are."

I nod my head, "I understand that to an extent. However I am not happy everyone kept it from me." Maahes clears his throat, "my dear we didn't keep it from you we just didn't wave it in your face as we didn't know how it would work for you. If you paid attention you will notice we danced around the subject numerous times." I thought about it and I could see my father's point. They did comment a lot in reference to it, I just had chose to not see it since my mother had drilled into me that having a Mate was bad.

Sally clears her throat, "focus please? Now they wanted the weather witch child to turn to blood magic and from I was informed the girl would have lost that rare talent if it had happened. My friends told me that because of where the power for weather magic comes from the first time she tried blood magic she would become instantly powerless." Simon nods his head, "it is documented that every time blood mages attempt to gain weather magic they lose it as soon as they find someone who has it."

That made me think for a few minutes and Zebediah comments, "oh to clear the air I hadn't stated Nancy was not suitable for me to ingest because of Seamus, but rather because she had her source messed up. It's because her energy is partly Demonic that I shouldn't be able to feed off of her."

Seamus steps in front of me when Zebediah comments on feeding on me and I let him knowing he can't control the urge to protect me. Maahes speaks, "I wonder then if you have a more 'unusual' father then Zebediah." I nod my head in agreement with my father as it might be possible that Zebediah is an even more rare half breed than we thought.

Simon's phone rings and after he answers it he barks out a few words and then grips his phone so hard it snaps in half. "Marchosias, I need to speak with you right now I know you are listening partly at least." Seamus's Demon father appears next to me giving me a hug, "isn't it nice having that out in the open now?" I nod my head because oddly it did feel better, is that because of his 'fix'?

Marchosias turns to Simon, "so give me the news." Simon responds with, "those damned magic users did release the hidden tomes. They have all of the ones that deal with both the Demon and Angelus realms, including names of the higher ranked of both species. Before I sic you and the Angelus on them I need names of who has seen these books or handled them. Get me those and I do not care what you do with those who have the books." I see Marchosias' eyes flash a dark red as Simon gives him the go ahead to deal with the people as he chooses. I touch Marchosias' arm, "what was it a sister or brother?" Marchosias looks pained and Seamus touches my arm and nods to his father, "I'll tell her go on." Marchosias vanishes and Seamus turns me around, "I had a brother. He was in his second century so still a teenager by their terms, that is why he's on the case. He has a personal stake in it." I nod my head understanding and I give Seamus a hug my eyes tearing up for the brother Seamus didn't get to meet.
