I awoke with a splutter - the coughing worsening my already terrible headache.

A hand tapped my back while I did so; stopping to turn my head to the right, I saw it was Elena.

I then began to stress as I realised we were in unknown territory. My head darted back and forth as I looked at our surroundings.

We were sat on an old worn-down couch in the middle of a large room. Ahead of us were two grand staircases that met at the top to form a small balcony overlooking the room.

As I looked around further I saw that the whole room was a dump - broken glass, dust and an odd smell were the stand out features.

I could imagine this was a beautiful house back in its day but now... not so much.

It was definitely abandoned and a long way from Mystic Falls.

"You okay?" I asked Elena after I finished checking out our surroundings.

"Yes I'm fine - are you?"

"Yeah. How long have you been awake?"

"Not long."

I nodded and opened my mouth to ask her another question but something caught my attention.

I spotted a tall man with shoulder length brown hair at the top of the stair case.

He caught my gaze and a chilling smirk appeared on his face as he bounced down the stairs and headed straight for us.

"What do you want?" Elena's voice trembled as the man came closer to us.

"Shh."

"Please, we're hurt."

"I know. Just a taste." He said, his face so close to Elena's neck that his grey veins appeared under his eyes.

"Trevor! Control yourself." A woman scolded from the entrance of the room.

"Buzzkill." This Trevor guy muttered and moved away.

"What do you want with us?" Elena questioned the woman.

"Oh my God, you look just like her."

"But we're not. Please whatever you-"

"Be quiet!" She shouted.

"But we're not Katherine." My name is Elena Gilbert and her name is Lily Gilbert; you don't have to do this." Elena said desperately.

"I know who you are, I said be quiet."

"Elena I think you should shut up now." I whispered into my sister's ear after nudging her with my elbow.

"What do you want?" She continued, causing me to mentally face palm.

Rose finally retaliated and slapped Elena unconscious.

"I want you to be quiet."

I looked around awkwardly after checking that Elena was actually alive.

"You're much smarter than your sister." Rose shook her head at Elena and left the room.

It took half an hour before Elena woke up but not long after we found a note from Bonnie saying Stefan and Damon were on their way. I quickly conducted an escape plan.

"Elena have you realized anything about Rose and Trevor?" I whispered, hoping the two vampires couldn't hear me.

"Umm, nothing but the fact they want us dead."
