Hey guys, just thought I'd check in and tell you what's happening. Basically, I started this book in lockdown when I was in my TVD era and was absolutely obsessed with it. I knew literally everything about the show.
But lockdown was 4 years ago now and TVD is just a nice memory, hence the fact that I no longer remember what happened in the show which means I have no clue what I'm writing about anymore.
Therefore I have decided to DNF this book because I genuinely have no recollection of the storyline and I'm not really into TVD now so it feels a bit pointless.
I would just like to thank you all for the support throughout the book, you've truly been great. Hope you're all doing well.
Anyways, as a parting gift I thought I'd share with you what I had planned for this book when initially thought of the book in 2020:
* When Katherine hi-jacks Elena's body Lily figures it out and Nadia kidnaps her (post 5x12)
* Nadia compels Lily to stay in the building and when Nadia dies the compulsion wears off.
* End of season 5 she goes in the car with Damon and dies with him
* She goes to the prison world with Damon and Bonnie and falls back in love with Damon
* Bonnie sacrifices herself again so Lily and Damon can return to the real world.
"Once we get Bonnie back, I'm leaving. This is not the life I'm meant to have. I'm 20 years old, Damon. I need to start living my life the way I want to."
"Where are you gonna go?"
"I don't know. Firstly, I'm gonna finish off what we started in the prison world, then maybe buy a farm in Kansas or maybe build my own bar in Tennessee. I don't know! But I've got to start living my life to the fullest. I've died twice. That's one more than the average person. I'm not gonna waste any more time staying in some small town when I could be exploring the world."
* Lily goes to the other prison world and finds Damon's mom
Stefan: "What are you doing?"
Me: "Your mom."
Stefan : "Lily, this isn't the time for one of your inappropriate jokes."
Me : "No I'm being dead serious. Your mom is literally right there."
* Kai links Elena's life to Lily's
"You see Damon, I personally think I've done you a favor. Now you don't have to choose between the twins. You get to spend 60 something years with Lily while Elena sleeps and when she dies you get to spend 60 years with Elena. I think it's a win - win."
* Stefan still dies
"He could've moved out of the way!"
"He gave me the cure, he would've died anyway."
"We would have found another way! We always find another way..."
* Ending -> Lily and Damon get married , Lily becomes a teacher at the Salvatore School
