Judging by the glum faces of Stefan and Elena as they walked back into the house after two hours away gave me the impression that everything didn't go as planned. Especially because they didn't arrive with a grimoire as well.

I was chilling on my bed watching FRIENDS when I saw them in Elena's room through the open doors of our shared bathroom.

Elena was searching through the cupboard underneath the sink while Stefan watched her, leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed.

"Aspirin must be downstairs. Is my head supposed to hurt like this?" I heard Elena groan.

"Oh, you'll be fine. That was just a small amount of blood. It should pass out of your system by tomorrow." Stefan reassured her.

His recent statement spiked my interest. Blood?

I was about to get up from my bed to interrogate them but saw them become all lovey-dovey and decided against it until Elena was alone.

Stefan went downstairs to get Elena some aspirin allowing me to speak to her about their previous affairs.

I paused the episode I was watching and walked through the bathroom into Elena's room.

She was lying on her bed, cuddling her pink blanket.

I jumped onto the bed next to her and lay there, staring at the ceiling.

"So I'm guessing it didn't work." I sighed.

"You guessed correctly. Damon found out where the grimoire was and caught us while we were digging it up."

"Bet he didn't take that well." I commented, turning on my side to face her as she did the same, laying my head on my hand.

"Damon being classic Damon lashed out. He forced blood down my throat and threatened to snap my neck if Stefan didn't give him the grimoire." Elena said.

"What did you expect Elena?" I groaned. "You did betray him."

"You should've seen his face when he saw us." Her lip trembled when she said this.

"And that is why I didn't want to help out. He trusted you Elena." I scolded and turned to lay on my back again.

Just as she was about to say something there was a breeze of cold air and a girl with black hair was standing over us with something in her hand.

I didn't get time to register what she was holding because before I knew it she hit me on the head with it and my vision went black.

I woke up with a repetitive throbbing in my head. I groaned and stirred awake, holding my hand to my head.

I instantly panicked when I didn't recognize where I was. I looked around and saw that I was in a motel room.

There were two double beds. Elena was still asleep in the one to my right and I was lying on the other one which was closest to the door.

At the end my bed was a man sleeping in a chair, he looked quite familiar but I lost my focus on him when Elena began to stir awake.

She mirrored my previous actions and looked around frantically. When she looked at me she calmed down a bit but I still had to put my finger over my mouth to tell her to be quiet.

I nodded my head in the direction of the door and she caught on to what I was going to do.

I carefully slid on my bum to the end of my bed and silently stepped on the carpeted floor.
