Another day, another stupid Lockwood party. There had to be at least eight different parties each year, all of them just an excuse for the Lockwood's to show off their expensive wines and massive house.Today was the Founder's Party. I wasn't planning on going but Elena made me using her infamous guilt trip. She was all like 'it was Mom's favourite party' and 'she'd want you to go'. So of course I couldn't say no.
On the plus side, I had Bonnie and Jenna to keep me company, seeing as we are the only single pringles left.
The worst thing about these stupid parties was that you had to dress up. Why couldn't we just go in a pair of jeans, at least then we'd all be comfortable.
I scrummaged through my closet trying to find something acceptable to wear. By the time I had found my dress, my whole room had piles of clothes everywhere. That definitely wasn't going to be fun to clean.
I put my dress on and did some light make up to cover up the dark circles under my eyes and I was finally ready.
I looked in the mirror and smiled. I looked good for once. I was standing in my bathroom when I heard the doorbell ring.
I carefully walked down the stairs in my white high heels and opened the front door.
"Well don't you look smashing?" I grinned as I looked at Stefan. He was wearing a dark grey tux with a purple shirt.
"I'm glad you're coming." Stefan smiled.
"That's what she said." I quipped quickly; that joke and the 'your mom' joke basically becoming my only vocabulary since the start of the school year.
Stefan - who looked horrified and confused at the same - kept opening and closing his mouth, not knowing how to respond to that.
I'd told him several times what the term meant but I don't think he every fully understood.
To save myself from explaining for the millionth time I called up to my sister, "Elena, get your butt down here otherwise we'll leave without you!" Thankfully for Stefan she was running down the stairs not too long after.

Later in the evening, Elena, Stefan and I were looking through the old relics from the first founding families of Mystic Falls. It was quite interesting seeing all the familiar last names on the registry list.
"'The founding families in Mystic Falls welcomes you to the inaugural founder's council celebration.' Wow, look, it's the original guest registry. Look at all these familiar names - Sheriff William Forbes, Mayor Benjamin Lockwood." Elena spoke with enthusiasm as her finger trailed down the list of names on the registry.
As I read down the list I recognized a familiar name. "Hey, look. Is that Damon Salvatore? And Stefan Salvatore." I pointed out.
"The original Salvatore brothers. Our ancestors. Tragic story, actually." The familiar voice said from behind me. I turned around to see Damon looking ridiculously handsome in his black shirt. Unfortunately, he stood there, holding hands with Caroline which made me quickly divert my gaze from his own.
