"Lily! Get up!" My sister yelled as she threw water all over my sleeping body. The sudden coldness woke me up instantly, giving me flash backs to the night of the accident.
"Don't do that!" I yelled, trying to keep my cool. Not a very good way to wake someone up who almost drowned.
"I'm sorry Lily, I didn't think." Elena said quietly, struggling to hold eye contact.
"It's fine, don't worry about it." I grumbled as I reluctantly got out of my nice warm bed. I walked over to the bathroom and closed the door behind me. I looked at myself in the mirror and noticed the bags under my eyes, I guess that's what happens when you stay up late staring at the ceiling while listening to depressing music.
My mind was still plagued with memories of the past. Memories that still hurt so painfully that I struggled to breathe.
My Dad and I were very close, I was definitely his favourite out of Elena and I. But my Mom did prefer Elena over me. I didn't mind because they'd go off shopping together while my dad and I would play football or soccer in the back yard. My Dad was the one who pushed me to join a soccer team as well as try out for the boys football team. We were inseparable. Jeremy and I had a better bond as well because sometimes he would come outside and play with us or I'd play on the Xbox with him. But that all changed when they died, Jeremy never left his room and our bond broke. That's when me and Elena became inseparable. We only had each other to talk and relate to, which made our twin bond so unbreakable.

After I had gotten changed into a pair of black nike shorts, a blue sweatshirt and my black nike sneakers, I tied my long, curly brown hair into a ponytail with a pink sports headband. I didn't bother with makeup because I didn't want to sweat it off during lunch. I liked not wearing makeup because it made me my own person and not the carbon copy of my sister; sure we were identical but there were a few differences, for example, I had curly hair and she had straight hair. Also, we dressed differently, she wore pretty clothes and made an effort where as I just simply wore athletic styled clothes. Like today.
When I got downstairs I saw Elena and Jeremy in the kitchen, standing by the coffee machine. I guess Jenna had left already.
"Morning homies!" I shouted as I strolled into the kitchen. I walked over to the fridge and got out a bottle of water to put into my backpack.
"How do you have this much energy in the morning?" Jeremy said, taking a sip of his coffee.
"I'm just buzzing to start a new year, that's all." I said while taking an apple from the fruit bowl. This was when everyone went quiet. This was our first day of school and our parents weren't there to wave us off.
"You okay?" Elena asked Jeremy, concern lacing her voice.
"Don't start." He snapped and walked away. We'll be getting a lot of them questions today.

"So Grams is telling me I'm psychic. Our ancestors were from Salem, witches and all that, I know, crazy, but she's going on and on about it, and I'm like, put this woman in a home already! But then I started thinking, I predicted Obama and I predicted Heath Ledger, and I still think Florida will break off and turn into little resort islands." Our friend Bonnie said as she drove us to school. "Elena! Back in the car." Bonnie shouted causing both Elena and I to jump.
"I did it again, didn't I? I--I'm sorry, Bonnie. You were telling me that..." Elena apologized. But I keep looking out the window, not really paying attention to what ever Bonnie was rambling on about.
