The Errand

After the dance we were all rounded up onto the stage awaiting the results from Mayor Lockwood.

"Where is Amber?" Caroline whispered loud enough for me to hear while she looked around for her.

"I don't know." I replied copying Caroline's actions.

I had a sick feeling that the reason Amber was missing was the same reason Stefan was.

"Before I crown the winner, I'd like to offer a personal thank you to all of these young ladies for their efforts to better our community." The mayor spoke into the microphone causing everyone to applaud us. "So, without further a-due it is my honor to announce our very own Miss Mystic Falls, Miss Caroline Forbes!"

I looked to my right to see Caroline frozen with a surprised expression.

I immediately hugged and we both laughed as we let go of each other.

"Congratulations!" I squealed I clapped my hands enthusiastically.

"I actually won!" She said in shock which made me laugh.

"Yes. You won Caroline!" I assured her and we embraced again.

The mayor came over and put the winner's banner around her shoulders.

I was so proud and happy she won.

I rejoined Damon once we were allowed to leave as he was waiting for me with Elena by the back entrance to the Lockwood mansion.

"Have you found your brother yet?" I asked as I approached them.

"There were signs of a struggle in the upstairs bathroom. There was blood and that Amber girl is missing." He informed the both of us.

"I knew Amber's disappearance had something to do with Stefan." I breathed and put my hand to my forehead.

"He wouldn't hurt her, he won't!" Elena said desperately.

"Let's just find him, okay?" Damon calmed Elena before she went into panic mode. "Go get yours and Lily's stuff and meet us in the drive way." He instructed. She nodded her head and left us.

"C'mon." He said and grabbed my arm, dragging me back through the house and to the front yard.

By the entrance to the forrest you could make out the silhouette of two people. Damon and I began towards the two figures and once we were closer we were able to identify them as Amber and Stefan.

Amber was in Stefan's arms and we heard him say "I changed my mind" before his fangs were out and he was biting her neck.

"Stefan!" I shouted which gained his attention.

He released her and she dropped to the floor in a heap.

"Stefan, come on get control. It's okay, come on. Breath through it man." Damon said cautiously, getting gradually closer.

Stefan used his vampire speed to grab Damon and throw him against a tree.

Damon got up immediately but before Stefan could attack again he held his head and cried out in pain. I turned my head and saw Bonnie casting a spell which was ultimately hurting Stefan.

I just knew she was enjoying this.

"It's okay, Stefan." Damon said reassuringly after Bonnie stopped the spell.

The police showed up which made Stefan speed away, leaving us all there with a bleeding Amber.

"She doesn't remember what happened." Liz informed us after she checked up on the 'animal attacked' girl.
