If you're reading this then the elixir didn't work and I'm no longer alive. We knew that it may have had an expiry date and I took the risk - which now, I must have to deal with the consequences.

But enough about me. I hope you got what you wanted. And I hope you're happier. Because you deserve to be happy Elijah. You don't need to be so loyal and pristine all the time - live your life. Fall in love. Make memories you're proud of. Have fun Elijah.

I've only known you for a short while but ever since we met we've had this strange connection, like we were friends in another lifetime. I'd like to thank you for that friendship. And maybe one day - if they do figure out how to resurrect people (Bonnie will probably figure it out let's be honest), I'll hold you to that promise that you'll tell me about all of your amazing stories from the past millennial , and I'll show you - as promised - the amazingness of Vine.

As predicted, I've kicked the bucket first. I told you didn't I. You wouldn't have it that I'd die first but here we are.

I'm sorry that I had to leave you though. I truly am. You've always been there for me since the day we started kindergarten and now I can no longer repay that debt.

Can you do me one last favour though? (You better have said yes) Just... be happy Matt. And live out your dreams. Get out of that small town and travel the world. Don't just settle as a buss boy - you can do so much better than that. Promise me you'll try to do that, please.

I hope if we do ever reunite you have loads and loads of happy memories about your life and about your kids and wife. I can't wait to hear them.
