Later that night, Elena, Bonnie and I were preparing dinner while waiting for Stefan to arrive. Apparently Bonnie got a weird feeling about him when she touched him, so Elena thought it was good idea to spend some time together to bond. I didn't mind Stefan, but I could kind of see Bonnie's wariness.

"You explain it. Last night, I'm watching Nine-o, a commercial breaks come on and I'm like, I bet it's that phone commercial. And sure enough, it's that guy and the girl with the bench, he flies to Paris and he flies back. They take a picture." Bonnie explained. She was still going on about her witch lineage.

"Oh, come on. That commercial's on a constant loop." Elena reasoned.

"Fine. Well, how about this? Today I'm obsessed with numbers. 3 numbers. I keep seeing 8, 14, and 22. How weird is that?" Bonnie continued.

"Maybe you should play the lottery." I laughed but stopped when Bonnie glared at me.

"Have you talked to your Grams?" Elena asked.

"She's just gonna say it's because I'm a witch. I don't want to be a witch. Do you want to be a witch?"

"I don't want to be a witch." Elena answered.

"Me either, I don't fancy owning a cat." I said with a disgusted face.

Elena tried to cover up the evidence that we didn't actually cook the meal by putting the food in a bowl.

"And putting it in a nice bowl isn't fooling anybody." Bonnie laughed at my sisters actions.

Elena ignored what Bonnie said. "Ok, serving spoons. Where are the serving spoons?"

"Middle drawer on your left." Bonnie said instantly.

"Ooo, your witchiness is starting to show BonBon." I teased.

"Ok, so you've been in this kitchen like a thousand times." Elena reasoned, not believing in anything.

"Yeah, that's it." Bonnie sighed.

Just as I was about to put my input into the conversation, the doorbell rang.

"Ok, he's here. Don't be nervous. Just be your normal loving selves." Elena told us, but it sounded more like she was telling herself. She raced to the front door to let Stefan in.

"Birthday candles." Bonnie opened the drawer and coincidentally, there was birthday candles inside.

"Huh." I said impressed. That was pretty cool.

When Stefan came inside we all sat down in our seats. Stefan sat at the head of the table, Elena sat to his left, Bonnie sat to his right and I sat next to Bonnie.

"Did Tanner give you a hard time today?" Elena said, trying to start a conversation in the awkward silence of clinking cutlery and gulps of food/drink.

"Well, he let me on the team, so I must have done something right." Stefan smiled politely. He looked at me with a knowing look.

"Bonnie, you should have seen Stefan today. Tyler threw a ball right at him, and..."

"Yeah, I heard." Bonnie finished for her. After that, the room was once again filled with an awkward silence.

"Why don't you tell Stefan about your family." I chimed up, nudging Bonnie to tell him.

"Um, divorced. No mom. Live with my dad." She said quietly.
