I sat cross legged on the hard, earthy floor, absentmindedly plucking up the grass deep in thought.

I was trying to come up with a way to convince Mr. Hybrid English man to spare Jenna's life but any sort of idea was quickly thrown aside. It was no use. We had failed her.

The sound of Jenna's greedy gasp for air pulled me from my thoughts and I quickly took to a stand. I couldn't go and console her due to the fact that the stupid witch had placed a spell on the circle I was stuck in; every time I went near the boundaries a violent flame would erupt around the circle's perimeter. I didn't fancy burning to death so I stood at a safe distance.

"Oh my head." Jenna grimaced as she clutched the sides of her head. "What's wrong with me?"

"Do you remember what happened?" Elena asked her, trying her best to speak sensitively in this confusing time for Jenna.

"You called me. You were so scared. Oh, ah, I should have realised that it wasn't you. The second I walked out of the house, someone grabbed me. A vampire." Jenna recalled, a look of embarrassment plastered on her face.

"Klaus." Elena told her. "It was Klaus."

"He made me drink his blood. And I don't... I don't remember anything after that." After she had finished she finally took notice of where we were as she started to look around anxiously. "Where are we? What happened?"

"We're at the quarry." I spoke up from the other side of Elena's circle. "He brought you and Elena here."

"Why don't I remember anything?"

"Jenna, do you remember when..." Elena started, nervous at the fact she was going to break the news to Jenna. "When we told you how someone becomes a vampire?"

"Yeah, if you die with vampire blood in your system, it's..." She paused and a look of realisation hit her. "Oh, god. He killed me."

Quickly, Elena and I began to assure her everything was going to be okay and thankfully she wasn't too hysteric.

"I'm a vampire?"

"And I bet you're hungry." Greta, who I'd learned was Klaus' witch, spoke up as she approached.

Alarmed, the three of us looked to each other to see what we should do but we were at a disadvantage. I then recalled that Elena and I had a secret hand gesture that we used at school to get me out of trouble.

Getting Elena's attention I lifted my right arm up and tugged on my ear. She gave me a funny look but after I repeated the action with a bit more urgency she finally understood.

Cause a distraction.

I didn't care what she did nor how she did it, I just went straight to scouting around the area of my circle and found the biggest rock I could.

Greta's back was facing me giving me enough time to aim at her fat head - I hoped my many years of football would serve me well - before I threw it and shouted, "Fuck off you spooky bitch."

The rock landed with a loud thud as did Greta as she fell to the floor from the contact of the rock hitting her head.

"Bullseye." I smirked and ran over to Jenna and Elena, the flames long gone due to their unconscious owner.

However, the one thing I didn't take into consideration was the whole blood situation. As soon as Jenna got a whiff of the blood dripping from Greta's head she was off like lightning and drinking the blood.

Shit.

To add insult to injury as well, Greta must have put some protection spell on herself because we were all thrown backwards from the force protruding from her as her eyes shot open with pure fury.
