"What's got you so happy?" Elena gave me a side eye as we walked up to the entrance of the Salvatore Boarding House.
"I don't know I'm just in one of those moods." I shrugged. I was going to tell Elena about Damon and I eventually but I wanted to keep it private for a few days - just so we could live in our own perfect little bubble while not being judged by everyone else.
After a few knocks on the door it opened and Damon was on the other side.
"Hello, Lily." He smirked. "Elena."
"Is Stefan here? He called. He said it was important." Elena said, getting straight to business.
"Right this way." By the looks of it, it wasn't just me who was in a good mood.
We both entered the house and saw Stefan walking down the hallway.
"Hey." He greeted us.
"What is this about?"
Elena's questions were answered when Rose appeared next to Stefan.
"You."
Now that was a bit dramatic Elena don't you think.
Elena looked at me with uncertainty but I just shrugged and followed everyone into the living room.
"Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true." Rose started. "It's a problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus, I know he's real."
"Who is he?"
"He's one of the originals, he's a legend." Damon interrupted from his bourbon table as he poured himself a drink.
I turned around to face him, "What like the werewolf legend?" I smirked causing him to roll his eyes and shake his head.
"Like Elijah?" Elena continued to question.
"No, Elijah was the Easter Bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal."
Well that's fantastic.
"Klaus is known to be the oldest." Stefan added.
"Okay, so you're saying the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after us."
Stefan and Rose's answers contradicted one another, with Rose saying "Yes" and Stefan saying "No".
"What they're saying is. I mean if what she's saying is true...." Damon spoke up.
"Which it is." Rose sighed.
"And you're not saying it so I don't kill you."
"Which I'm not."
"Then we're looking at a solid... maybe."
Perfect, that's exactly what you want to hear first thing on a Monday morning.
Stefan saw the worried faces Elena and I were wearing and tried his best to make us feel better. "Look, Elijah's dead right? So no one else even knows that you exist."
"Not that you know of." Rose pointed out, not aiding the situation.
"That's not helping." Damon groaned.
"Look, I've never met anyone who's laid eyes on him. I mean, we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction. We don't know if he's real. For all we know he could just be some sort of stupid bed time story."
"He's real and doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it. If you're not afraid of Klaus then you're an idiot." Rose fumed.
"Alright, we're shaking." Damon replied sarcastically. "You made your point."
