It takes place during chapter 25// DVD's and Ice Cream.

"I've brought DVDs and ice cream so get your ass downstairs before I get Stefan to drag you there." The voice of a smiling Lily echoed throughout the room, shaking me from my thoughts.
It had been a few days since the whole Katherine not being in the tomb fiasco and I'd either been sulking in my room or drowning my sorrows in a glass of bourbon at the grill.
"Leave me alone." My voice was muffled as I called out from where I was hiding my face in the pillow.
"Come on, stop feeling sorry for yourself." She sighed at my unwillingness to move. "Just one movie." She pleaded like a child.
I turned my body around so I was now lying on my back and looked at her unimpressed.
"Pwease." She tilted her head to the side and stuck out her bottom lip, batting her lashes.
I looked at her with a cold stare before rolling my eyes and huffed - "What flavor ice cream you got?"
A victorious smile made its way onto her face. "Chocolate."
I mean, how could I say no to that?
I got up from my beautiful bed and snatched the tub of chocolate ice cream from her hands before making my way out of the room.
"Damon Salvatore 0, Lily Gilbert 1." I heard her whisper to herself with my vampire hearing before she scurried after me.
"I heard that." I shouted as I got downstairs.
She chuckled and quickly ran down the stairs and childishly slid into the living room- causing me to crack a small smile which I had to quickly hide.
Stefan had just got the wooden floors polished so they were perfect for sliding on.
Who was I? Smiling over someone sliding in their socks. I was losing my dignity here.
"Home Alone or Elf?" She beamed at me and held out the two DVDs for me to choose from.
I slumped onto the couch and put my arm behind my head. "That one." I pointed at the DVD in her right hand.
I didn't really care what we watched.
"Elf it is then." She smirked and placed the disc into the TV.
She lifted my legs so she could sit down on the couch and put them down on her lap.
Make yourself at home why don't you.
Pressing play on the TV remote we began to watch the movie in silence while eating our ice cream.
As she sang along with Buddy and Jovie during the shower scene with the biggest smile on her face, I couldn't help but stare at her in admiration.
