I used both my hands to slap myself, regaining my focus. I jumped up and down to warm up my body. They seemed to have the AC on today. If I'd knew I would have brought a jacket. Zac was practicing his posing and I sweatdropped. Oh boy. I thought as the doors opened. I flinched at the sudden light as crowds roared, probably for Zac. The yellow-haired star leaped onto the stage followed by his dancers and posed, the crowds cheering even louder than before. Me and Orochi just walked to the benches like normal people. Zac held his hands up, giving the audience jazz hands. "Sorry to keep you waiting dear fans!" He bowed with a huge smile across his face. "But now that I'm here, let the show start!" Then I heard squealing and screaming that was even louder than anyone. It was coming from the section towards the top. I squinted and sighed. Fangirls. They were holding posters and drawings of Zac, screaming and waving.
"WE LOVE YOU ZAC!!!!!!!!" They squealed altogether. Zac winked at them and I swear half of them fainted. I facepalmed as Orochi grunted. "Someone needs to keep this guy in line" I heard him mumble. I agree bro. Zac is wasting time here. The crowd created an uproar again, but this time, it was for the beasts. I was so relieved they arrived, who knows how long Zac would have gone for? Zac finally arrived at the benches and put his right hand on his hip, his other hand pointing to himself. "I'll go first" He announced, then he pointed to me. "Then young star goes next, then Bowie" I blinked in surprise. Is he that confident he can win? What about Orochi? I've never seen Bowie battle before, maybe he's good, who kn-
"Will our first bladers please step up?" The ref called, snapping me out of my thoughts. Maybe I'm worrying too much. I exhaled, calming myself. We'll be fine, I'll make sure of it. Zac seemed to be up against Ken. I held my breath. I didn't want to miss this. "Isn't this Zac's first battle in the team battles this year?" Orochi spoke up, breaking the silence. He's right. I recalled. Orochi and I took both matches with burst finishes, so Zac didn't have a chance to shine or whatever he calls it. Bowie answered for me. "Yep" Came the boy's voice. And something's different about Ken, a different kind of aura than when he was attending Beigoma. A good aura. Maybe he's more confident. I squinted at the board. So they went with Ken , Ben and some other guy. So I might be up against Ben. He's pretty good at blading. My eyes were focused on the match. Ken's blading style... it seems a bit different. His launch has changed for sure. Let's see...

"Let it rip!" Zac, of course, launched in style. I watched the board for the action, seems like Zac's bey , Zillion Zeutron. Zac twirled around in a circle and pointed to Ken, even though it was the start of the match, I could tell my puppet friend was already struggling. "Now now, it's not polite to hold back, dear Zillion Zeutron" Zac held his hands up as his fans continued to cheer him on. Someone like him feeds off of the crowd. I noted. That's just how he is. My thoughts went back to Lui and the conversation I had with Shu. My face showed a little pink but good thing no one else noticed. My thoughts were cut off when the crowd roared louder than usual. I blinked, regaining my focus, looking at the board. Zac had won with a burst finish, so I only needed to get the team one more point to win. I have no idea what Ben has in store. I've never fought him before, so I don't know his style too much. Orochi seemed to have noticed my nervousness because he turned to me. "Don't be nervous" came him monotone voice. "If I remember correctly Ben's bey doesn't show it's power until later in the battle" Orochi told me. I tilted my head. huh? I made a '?' expression. "So I suggest you take it out before it gets a chance, or it'll start chasing Tsunami like a beast" Orochi suggested, chewing his gum. I nodded. "Thanks" I bowed at 90 degrees. Well, a little bit of information is better than none am I right? Zac waved to the crowd as he walked down the steps and towards us, stopping in front of the team. He put his hand on his hip and gave me a bright smile.
"Your time to shine young star!" He twirled around and pointed to me. I just gave him a small nod. Gosh, I was a nervous wreck. I took a deep breath in, then exhaled. No worries, I got this. Just remember what Orochi said. I thought to myself as I walked towards the stage, hearing crowds cheering once again.
Ben's bey doesn't show it's power until later in the battle
Thanks for the heads up bud. Before I knew it, I was standing before a average height boy with pink hair, he seemed to be growling. Ben. I knew it, their team was in a tight spot, so of course they sent their captain out. Ben showed me his bey with a angry look on his face. "Meet your doom" He growled. "Beast Betromoth" So this was Betromoth. My eyebrows knitted together, I was focused. I won't let his scary growl get to me. I decided not to respond and take out my launcher. "GO Y/N!!!!!" I heard loud cheering over the chanting crowd. I look at the direction where the loud call came from. Of course. Valt was waving his hands like crazing, a big wide smile across his face, Honcho was doing something similar. Poor Shu had to lean to the right to avoid getting hit by Valt's waving hands. Shu seemed to be sweatdropping, but giving me a thumbs up in the process. I smiled, turning my attention back to the game.
