┈➤The next two weeks seemed to have gone by painfully slow. Why? because Y/N's been training non-stop every day, sometimes even with Ren, he would come over sometimes, and even when he wasn't around, she would continue to train and train. The girl knew there were going to be strong bladers in the nationals, Valt, Wakyia, Shu, Lui, Oh yeah. Lui. just imagining this guy's face made the girl angry. She continued to angrily launch her bey into the stadium time after time. She didn't know all those powerful launches would tired out her arm, she didn't notice, she was only concerned about how her launch wasn't even improving. Frustrated, she finally decided to give it a rest. Y/N finally noticed how tired and sore she really was. She was not in good shape for the nationals, her launch hasn't improved, she was more than predictable in battle, and her body was sore. The (h/c) haired girl groaned in frustration. Her right arm was the sorest part of her body. Y/N just laid in her backyard and tried to catch her breath.

Finally having enough, she decided to get up and get some food. There was nothing else to do since the beyclub separated for who knows how long. And Shu. Her face flushed red again as memories flooded back into her brain. Y/N had been so busy with the training she didn't care about anything else in the world.

She tried to get up, using her hands to push herself off the floor, only to feel a sharp jab of pain come through her wrist.
"Argh!" Y/N found herself hitting her head on the floor, her right wrist failing to support her up. "This can't be happening" The (h/c) haired girl groaned again, using only her left hand to sit up. She brought her right hand to her face and flexed it over and over again, feeling large amounts of pain every time, causing her to flinch.

...

"It's only a small sprain, but I suggest you take it easy if you want to compete that is" The doctor explained, rolling over to the (h/c) haired girl on his chair. The man was wearing glasses and holding a clipboard. "You more than overworked yourself" He continued further. "So please, be careful" The nurse that was next to Y/N had just finished wrapping her hand with a bandage. Y/N flexed her hand again. The bandages seemed to help a little bit. What about training? The national tournament is near, I can't just stop training now! Y/N wanted to protest, but she knew better than to argue with the doctor. The girl cringed in pain as she continued to flex her hand, then letting it fall to her side. The nationals are in two weeks, I doubt I'd fully recover before then, but I just might be well enough to compete, if I follow the doctor's orders. Y/N thought to herself, staring at the ground as a sweat tear rolled down her face.

...

Y/N groaned as she flopped onto her bed, not knowing what to do. She stared at her now bandaged hand. Her arm reflected against her (e/c) orbs. She sighed, closing her eyes and flipping onto her back, staring at the ceiling. It wasn't just her hand, every part of her body was sore from all that training she did the past couple of weeks. Her thoughts were cut off by her phone ringing. The (h/c) haired blader turned her head and lazily grabbed her phone from the nightstand. There was someone she didn't expect to hear from. The caller ID was none other than her brother Ukyo. (Surprise Surprise!). Her eyes widened as she quickly answered the call. Ukyo has been away from his home and family ever since college, from what she heard, he joined the Sword Flames and the dojo. Of course, Y/N was happy for him, but she would feel better about it if he would just visit every once and a while. Y/N answered the call and placed the phone beside her on the next, next to her ear as her (e/c) orbs continued to gaze at the ceiling. From the other line, she heard a familiar voice.
"Y/N?"
"Hello, Ukyo, what makes you call after all this time?" Y/N hated how harsh and impatient she sounded. Her brother let out a soft and nervous chuckle.
"I just wanted to see how my little sister was doing, and how are mom and dad?" The (h/c) haired girl knitted her eyebrows together before dragging her hands down her face.
"Mom and dad aren't home, it's been just me for months now" The female grumbled. Silence. Silence followed what she said. Ukyo sighed from the other side of the call.
"That's how they are, mom and dad have a lot of work you know" The boy explained.
"Well, they don't even call, not even once. And now I'm stuck here, laying in bed, with a sprained wrist" Y/N flopped onto her stomach, her tone was harsh and frustrated. Are work and her brother's schoolwork really more important than properly raising their daughter and sister? Y/N thought. "before the nationals too" She muttered the last part.  What family leaves their middle school child alone at home for months and months on end, only visiting on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
"Sprained wrist? What did you do?" Ukyo's protective side was showing. His tone got dead serious. He hated whenever Y/N got herself injured or hurt.
"I overworked myself, nothing major" The (h/c) haired girl murmured, sitting up on her bed, bringing her knees to her chest, and using her arms to hug her knees.
"Nothing major?" Ukyo repeated, unconvinced. "You're competing in the nationals right?"
"yeah... wait how'd you know?!" She exclaimed, eyes wide. No one knew she was competing in nationals. Not even Shu. The albino thinks she was just going there to cheer him on or something. Y/n shook her head, snapping out of her thoughts.
"I didn't, but you just confirmed it" Her brother smirked. Y/n scowled. She fell for it again. Damn you Ukyo. [Brother and Sister relationship be like] "Anyway, I came to tell you I'm going swing by tomorrow" He announced proudly.
"yeah yeah" Without another word, Y/N hung up on her brother, tossing her phone to the other side of the bed. Her wrist was aching in pain. It seems worse than the doctor had it was. Is he sure it's just a minor sprain? It doesn't feel like it, Y/N thought. I guess this is the price I have to pay for overworking myself.
"Sitting here won't do any good" A voice came from the right. She turned her head, completely shocked. She had left the window opened to get some fresh air, and now, a familiar blue-haired boy was halfway into her room. She screamed, falling off her bed. Y/N gave the window another glance, her eyebrow twitched. "come on" Ukyo smirked. "Let's go for a jog, it used to be your favorite thing to do"

[I suck at running hee hee ]

"Ukyo!" Y/N barked. " You said tomorrow!" The boy just ignored his sister's protest and stepped into her room, closing the window behind him. Her brother had light blue hair tied in a low ponytail, a white shirt, and a long blue and purple coat over it. He had two piercings on his right ear, the boy was tall, and he had green/blue eyes.

"I missed you too" he teased. "Now come on, you have a sprained wrist, right? You can still be able to jog"
