Y/N found Shu sitting on a bench waiting for his battle, the girl noticed how hard he was gripping his bey, Spryzen. The albino was staring at the ground, so the (h/c) haired girl couldn't see his crimson eyes. Y/N lightly tapped his shoulder and he looked up, blinking wildly.
¨Oh¨ Shu sighed. ¨It's you" Y/N smiled and took a seat beside him.
"Nervous?" There was a pause. Shu sat up and turned towards her, his crimson eyes staring into her (e/c) ones, it was a soft gaze, but you could tell how uneasy he was.
"Nothing I can't handle" Shu assured her, but Y/N frowned, unconvinced. Before he could do anything, she grabbed him by the collar and started shaking him violently. Shu's red eyes went wide, he was shocked by her actions.
"You. Have. A. Promise. To. Keep!" Y/N stopped shaking the poor boy, and he just sat there, completely stunned and speechless. "You promised we would meet in the finals" She repeated, this time in a softer tone. She was staring at the ground until she felt a hand touch her shoulder, and Y/N looked up.
"Let's make a new promise then" Shu gave her a light-hearted smile.
"What do you mean?" Y/N tilted her head, confused. Does he not want to battle me in the finals anymore? I thought that was our goal! To meet in a final battle before some of us go off into the big world, and find our own teams. There was another pause, and Shu had to think for a moment, before turning his gaze to the girl next to him again.
"Promise me, for a battle on the world stage, if I don't beat Lui, please make sure you do"

Silence.

"W-World Stage? Shu, do you really think I'd make it that far? Who would want me on the world stage?!" She exclaimed, standing up. "And don't say you can't beat Lui, you never knew until you try!" She exclaimed, and Shu flinched. There was another moment of silence. Shu just stared at the ground for a couple of seconds before taking a deep breath. He looked up at Y/N and smiled at her.
"You're right, I have to at least try, so I can keep my promise to you" Without another word, Y/N embraced the albino into a tight hug. The crimson-eyed boy's eyes widened, before returning the hug.

They soon pulled away and Shu turned around to talk the other way. The albino stopped halfway towards the door, turning around with a smile.
"Good luck Shu" Y/N waved. The red-eyed blader nodded before turning around, and soon enough, he disappeared through the door.

I should head for the stands, I can't miss a second of the battle. The (h/c) haired girl thought. She wasted no time, soon enough, Y/N was sitting next to Valt, who seemed to be sweating like crazy. Her (e/c) eyes landed on him and she snickered.
"Why so nervous?" The blue-haired blader turned his head slowly towards her, he was shaking.
"I mean, you aren't?!" Valt exclaimed, still trembling. Y/N chuckled and shook her head.
"Of course I am, but I'm not sweating a pool, am I?"
"Right!!! I should be pumped for him!" Valt's mood changed so fast, his face was now red, steam blowing out of his nose. "Go shu!!!!!" He screamed, causing everyone around him to flinch or cover their ears. Shu seemed to have heard Valt from down in the stadium and pretended he didn't know the boy. I wasn't lying when I said I was nervous, Shu's bey is cracked after all, Y/N thought, a frown appeared on her face. Please be careful Shu. She clutched her fist, a sweat tear rolled down her cheek.

There was the sound of gentle rushing water coming from the fountain. A certain (h/c) haired girl was sitting on once side of the fountain, eyes staring at her feet. The albino was sitting on the opposite side of the fountain, he was leaning back, staring at the sky. The sky was a beautiful orange, pink, and yellow, and the sun was just on the horizon.
"Can Spryzen be fixed?" Y/N spoke up, breaking the silence. Shu didn't reply right away, his crimson eyes continued to stare up at the clouds. The wind blew gentle against her skin as she waited for his reply.
"If Spryzen breaks, then I know I'm not strong enough" Y/N held her breath at this. Shu lowered his head and stared ahead of him. "If spryzen breaks, then I will come back with a new spryzen, stronger than the last" The (h/c) haired girl's eyes widened, before smiling to herself.
"Well, if you're going to get stronger, so am I" She replied, lifting her head. She heard a light chuckle from the opposite side of the fountain. Shu cracked a smile.
"I'm looking forward to battling you in the finals"
