32 | He's A Cheater?

( And no, when the chapter said 'cheater' I meant Jin,  it's not what you think I swear 😭)

╰┈➤"I think he was trying to hit Shu's weaker shoulder on purpose" Valt put his hands on his hips with an angry gaze. It was the very next day, and the beyclub decided to finally train together after weeks apart. 

"Calm down Valt, maybe it's just his personality" Y/N spoke up. Y/N's next opponent is Gabe, the one from Rideout. It was a good thing she observed both teams turning the match, or else she wouldn't know his battle style.  Despite being completely ready for her match, she knew she would probably need a backup plan, her original plan would more than most likely fail. So swing launch and swing counter, are both pretty powerful. Y/N was lost in thought as the people around her continued to argue about yesterday. Seems like a certain crimson-eyed boy was also pretty silent, whether he was also lost in thought, was unknown. 

"-Why would he want to purposely bump into Shu anyway?" Wakyia's voice cut Y/N's thoughts off. Valt nodded in agreement, he breathed out a puff of smoke. 
"Yeah!" He agreed. The (h/c) haired girl turned to the albino, reaching out a hand but Shu shook his head. 
"If this is about my shoulder, I don't want to hear it. I said I was fine" His voice was almost stern, though that was probably reasonable, everyone in the beyclub kept bugging him about it, it was bound to get annoying. Y/N hung her head. 
"Sorry" She muttered. The girl felt a hand touch hers as she looked up, only to see a familiar albino only a couple of inches away from her face. He was frowning. 
"Don't be sad" He said. "Sorry about my tone of voice" Y/N blushed madly, quickly retrieving her hand. The rest of the beyclub was silent, they were just standing there and staring. After realizing what he had done, Shu staggered back, a tint of pink on his cheeks. 
"I am so sorry!" He bowed at 90 degrees like Valt would do every time he was late for school (Phff) and believe me, Shu usually wouldn't bow in apology to anyone, let alone become flustered. (😏) Y/N held her hands up like she was surrendering and took a step back, shaking her head. 
"N-No! It's okay!" She assured him. Shu lifted his head, an unconvinced gaze on his face. "Anyway," She changed the subject before it could get awkward. "Has everyone thought of a plan for their next match?" Wakyia huffed and put his hands on his hips. 
"I know I'm going to win, so I don't need a plan" He bragged, flipping his golden hair. In the background, the (h/c) haired girl saw Honcho roll his eyes in disgust, she couldn't help but chuckle. Valt also put his hands on his hips. 
"Me too! I don't need a plan!" He agreed loudly. Wakyia rolled his eyes and pushed the blue-haired back. 
"As that would happen, even if you did want to make a plan, you wouldn't be able to due to your tiny brain" He mocked, then Wakyia looked away from Valt, his nose held up high. "You're not going to win, I am!" The two continued to bicker with each other about who was going to win, the rest of the beyclub just ignored them and discussed plans for today. Toko held up his iPad as they discussed Jin and his bey, Jormuntor. The aqua-haired boy was playing videos on past battles from the mysterious blader, Shu's eyes were glued to the screen, trying to analyze his opponent's moves. Oh god, let us all pass through the second round, please.

Oh, Valt Aoi, what would happen to you if Shu Kurenai was out of the picture?

[Normal POV]

Shu's match was the first one of the day. Jin seemed as mysterious as ever. The beyclub watched at their usual seating with a close eye on Jin. What if Valt was right? What if Jin was really trying to cheat? Both bladers knelt to their launching positions. 
"Ready? Set!"
"3!"
"2!"
"1"
"Let it- flash" Something made Shu flinch right before he launched. Y/N's eyes widened as she was the only person who noticed the flash. Soon enough, Shu's bey was already out of the stadium, earning Jin one point. The beyclub's eyes were wide in shock. 
"We blinked and we missed it! He is trying to cheat, I know it!" Honcho exclaimed, shaking his head in disgust. Y/N watched in worry as the albino rubbed his eyes, though he was aware of what happened. Now that he knows it's coming, she thought, hopefully, he can think of a way to avoid it. To everyone's shock, Shu crouched down into his launching position, with his eyes closed. 
"What the heck is he doing?" Wakyia hissed. "He will definitely lose if he launches with his eyes closed!" Or not. Y/N thought, this time, she kept an eye on where the flash came from. To her surprise, she saw a hint of... aqua hair? Toko and Nika were leaning over to get a better look at Shu. 
"What does he think he's doing?" Nika exclaimed worriedly. 

[Jin's POV]

Is this some kind of joke? How can any blader launch with their eyes closed? This is probably just something to throw me off my game!

[Normal POV]

"3!"

"2!"

"1!"
Flash.
To everyone's surprise, Shu didn't flinch this time, he proceeded to launch with his eyes closed and did it flawlessly. 
"Let it rip!" Toko and Nika seemed to have noticed the flash too because they both gasped, looking in the same direction as Y/N. The (e/c) eyed girl watched as Shu thankfully won his match with a burst finish. Who would want to sabotage Shu? And worst of all, what if they tried to do the same thing in her match?

"congrats Shu! And that launch with your eyes closed, that was risky!" Y/N exclaimed as she hugged her friend. Shu blushed slightly though he made sure no one would notice. After they pulled away the white-haired boy met the gazes of his friends, they were all frowning and he knew why. Who knew a blader would go as far as to cheat. 
"I think we should teach Jin a lesson!" Honcho balled up his fist like he was ready to punch someone. Daigo held up his hand and shook his head. 
"I don't think it's Jin, I talked with him earlier, and from what he said to me, I know it wasn't him" The (h/c) haired girl was frowning the most. She knew exactly who it was. 
"Hold on" Toko chirped. "Before Shu launched both times, we saw a bright flash come from the audience, and we knew it was on purpose" He looked over to Nika, his sister nodded in agreement. 
"I knew it" Y/N muttered loud enough for her friends to hear. All of them turned to the (e/c) eyed girl with a confused gaze. All the puzzle pieces fit together perfectly. There was only one person who would do such a thing and can do such a thing. 
"Do you know who it is or something?" Came Wakyia's voice. Y/N looked up to meet her friends' gazes.
